Based on her background and experiences in "Never Marry a Mexican," how would the protagonist define marriage? Why doesn't she want to get married? Why not to a Mexican? How does the myth of La Malinche figure in the story? Be specific.
The protagonist in the story would likely refer marriage to a commitment between a man and a woman that mainly is geared towards disrupting love and romance, and it causes quarrels between the couples. This is the primary reason why she does not want to get married, and she gives the idea being that she is to romantic form marriage. At first, she believes marriage is good and sweet following how her mother used to live in the beginning. She states that her family is poor and yet not greedy. In the story, she also talks of the affair between her mother and a married man. These are the main reasons why she does not want to get married. The sorry of La Malinche reflects on the story in two ways. Firstly, hare mother chooses a non-Mexican in her second marriage reflecting the what La Malinche did. In "Little Miracles, Kept Promises," what is the overall impact the different notes left to the Virgin of Guadalupe? Which note was unique in some way, whether it was sad, funny or sweet? Why is that? What do these notes say about the people who left them?
The overall impact of the note left behind in the story “Little Miracle, Kept Promises” is the fling of getting the question answered in the sense that the other individual was listening. This means that even the smallest problems in the where taken care off in the Virgin of Guadalupe. Moreover, the Virgin of Guadalupe is mainly a figure that everyone considered to be a sense of belonging. The note that I thought to be was special is the one that a grandma wrote to make sure the granddaughter’s cancer operation took place smoothly. The sad latter was very special as it showed that the grandmother cared for her grandchild and the love was profound. Further, she believed that her prayers would be answered showing her faith in the Virgin of Guadalupe. The notes indicate that the people who left them behind had faith the Virgin of Guadalupe and that their payers would be answered.
In "Little Miracles, Kept Promises,"what are the parallels between the legend of the Virgin of Guadalupe and Chayo's story?
There are several parallels between the legend of the Virgin of Guadalupe and the Chayo’s story. Firstly, the symbolic meaning of the women. Both women appear as the motivation of people during the time of weakness. However, Chayo wanted to follow in the footsteps of the Virgin of Guadalupe and help people when they are down. This shows that the Virgin of Guadalupe made a name for her self through good deeds for other people to follow in her steps. Primarily, the Virgin of Guadalupe is a symbol of hope and faith, while Chayo’s story symbolizes the fighting story. Another parallel between the two is their intentions. From the start the Virgin of Guadalupe his true plans were clear of giving hope and letting them have that their issue will be solved and their life will be better. On the other hand, the Chayo story intended to be like the Virgin of Guadalupe.
In "Woman Hollering Creek,"how does the myth of La Llorona inform the story? How is the protagonist similar to la Llorona? How is she not?
The story is mainly about relationships, and a woman, on the other hand, trying to find her voice in the face of abuse. Primarily, there are no connections to the idea that culture respect women who undergo suffering and those who mainly stand for themselves. The story represents a powerful woman Llorona who is described as a woman who can stand for herself. The protagonist in the story is mostly similar to Llorana in the sense that she drifted from her husband the moment she got children. In the house, the husband never fixed anything, and even he went a step further to indicate he even hates the house. Similarly, he never helped with the kids. On the other hand, they are not similar in that Llorona had rage that made her raise her hand and pushed her kind to the river. This was because she saw her husband with another woman making her very hungry.

Dear, Simranpreet Kur, I agree with your response to question two. I reviewed the notes that were left to the Virgin of Guadalupe were emotional, and the people had faith in the Virgin would help health their wounds. However, I think that the note that I considered to be was special is the one that a grandma wrote to make sure the granddaughter’s cancer operation took place smoothly. The sad latter was very special as it showed that the grandmother cared for her grandchild and the love was intense. This is not to say the note you selected is not emotional. Probably, my opinion was different. But how you understand of the note is excellent. Primarily, the story you selected presents has the responsible parent to ensure that their kids are well catered for, and they have everything to make it in life.
