While many philosophers are only interested in discussing the subject of morality as it is, Nietzsche wants to know how people began to distinguish between ‘good’ and ‘evil’. I have put the two attributes in quotes purposely because it seems Nietzsche does not believe that there should be such categories. Although Nietzsche wants to investigate the origin of the two attributes, his approach is philosophical as opposed to historical. He posits that the creation of such categories is a move against nature. Nietzsche believes that it is natural for some people to have more power than others. Consequently, these powerful people use their power to protect themselves from competition. The means such powerful individuals use to protect themselves may sometimes be seen as ‘immoral’. According to Nietzsche, such actions are natural processes because they are done automatically. Using Nietzsche’s argument, we can think of the corporate world. Many companies try to create a monopoly to have an edge over others. To achieve such an objective, they may use underhand methods, which may lock others out of the market. Nietzsche seemingly disregards the whole concept of ethics because he thinks it hinders the natural processes from taking course.

In regard to the example writing, it is true that Nietzsche’s ideas represent steps further from other philosophers’’ concept of morality. Nietzsche tries to venture into the unknown. When we look keenly into Nietzsche’s analysis of morality, we realize that it is different from the other philosophers. Nietzsche is interested in the foundation of the morality concept and he argues that the concept of ethics was created to try to limit the powers of powerful individuals. On the contrary, other philosophers only discuss the meaning of good and evil. Therefore, we cannot rate the two arguments because they are very different.
