This is Owen. Owen is 28 and works for an events company as an Information Technology support technician. He is normally all over the building assisting staff with issues they have. He lives in New Jersey and makes about 40,000 a year. Owen loves anything to do with sports. He plays basketball, soccer, volleyball and loves to swim. He goes to the gym regularly, likes to read, meet up with friends and catch the game on TV. Owen’s concerns are keeping fit, staying healthy, grooming himself, looking nice, and watching sports. Owen lives alone in an affordable loft and spends a lot of his money on going to games and clothes. Owen loves Nike, almost all his clothes are Nike. His job allows him to wear informal clothing, so he is normally in sneakers and sports clothing. Considering that Owen is an IT person he is usually on the internet, he follows Nike on Instagram and Facebook. He likes to see what is new on their Instagram , any new products or news and he likes to post and share his new buys.
Nike has 82.6 million followers on Instagram and close to 80 million followers on facebook. I have decided to focus on Instagram because it has most users. The pictures and videos are of really good quality and I believe because of the visual nature of this platform it is a lot more appealing. Also, the Nike Instagram account is updated a lot more frequently compared to Facebook. Nike also integrates some celebrities like Kevin Hart to show their products and this appeals to young people (Cole, 2018). Instagram is an excellent platform to focus on because most young people like to be on Instagram, they like to show off what they have and what they are doing. People will want to show off their new Nike products, others who do not have them will get to see them and get influenced to buy them.
