The contention that organizational culture influences ethical decision-making is not disputable. Rich (2013) defines ethics as “a systematic approach to understanding, analyzing, and distinguishing matters of right and wrong, good and bad, and admirable and deplorable as they relate to the well-being of and the relationships among sentient beings.” Organization ethics refers to how an organization responds to an internal or external stimulus, and this depends on the organizational culture. In this paper, the major influences that organizational culture can have on organizational ethical decision-making will be examined. The paper will then select a leader and then examine the traits and actions that the leader demonstrates to influence a positive ethical culture in the organization.

Typically, the culture of an organization is stabile, and this entails essential principles, beliefs, and regulations that cannot be easily replaced. Organizational culture forms the basis of ethical decision making (Ferrell, 2017). An organization can lose its integrity if it places more emphasis on generating profits. The development of organizational culture on the basis of strong ethic principles fosters decision-making based on what is best for its customers, employees, and the community as a whole. A positive organizational culture which is deeply implemented in the collective mentality highlights the ethical component of the business, such as values, attitudes, and moral behavioural regulations.

Ethical Leadership
Ethical leadership is defined by Mihelic, Lipicnik, and Tekavcic (2010) as leadership that is directed by respect for ethical beliefs and values. Ethical leaders live up to the principles of conduct that crucial for both him and the organization. They usually keep promises and commitments, uphold the integrity, and takes responsibility and cleans up after mistakes.
