The evolution of the health sector towards a quality-based is a massive opportunity for health organizations to revisit their strategies. One of the fundamental organizational aspects is risk management and test of the effectiveness of healthcare providers on how to handle this crucial health component. It is, therefore, imperative to explore risk management strategies and how they address key professional, legal, and ethical issues. It is essential to delve into policies implemented to deal with emergency triage and challenges an organization faces in managing high-risk health care. It is also imperative to look into the strategies the facility utilizes in monitoring, evaluating, and maintaining compliance within its risk management program. Lastly, a review of the organization's risk management and possible actions to improve the organization's risk management is provided.

Risk Management Strategies

The need to maintain patient care as the primary concern influences the strategy of maintaining an accurate patient record. This is one of the most critical risk management strategies that have been acknowledged by healthcare providers. This strategy encompasses the use of data to avoid medical errors and negligence (Raveesh, Nayak & Kumbar, 2016). Communication with patients has also been established as the best strategy to minimize risks emerging from poor communication. This action reduces misunderstanding between patients and healthcare professionals. Lastly, the sensitization of healthcare workers about the importance of risk management practices. This strategy adds up as the most ideal in combatting various types of risks with a healthcare organization.

How Educational Risk Management Program Addresses Professional, Legal, and Ethical Issues

Healthcare professionals are now held responsible for negligence as a result of the evolution of the health sector. This is a move that has been attributed to the need to have accountable health care professionals. The educational risk management program is ideal because it focuses on dealing with factors that may impact the professionalism of healthcare providers, such as negligence. It is designed to ensure that it helps the organization stay within the required scope of healthcare. This means that the educational program can control failures that may lead them to breach some of the necessary professional, legal, and ethical guidelines.

Policy Implementation in Managing Emergency Triage

Healthcare has a systematic mode of operation and has been successful in implementing best practices and policies to manage emergency triage in high-risk areas. This has been primarily influenced by the need to measure urgency and how to deal with it. The plan includes the obligation to provide immediate answers to patients and the handling of multiple patients within a short time. According to Burgess, Kynoch, and Hines (2019), emergency triage also involve the sorting of patients for medication, raising the need for intervention to reduce risks. These practices have been implemented to address cases involving patients with borne-blood diseases, among others.

Challenges Faced by the Organization in Managing High-Risk Healthcare

Despite the implementation of best practices to achieve a more effective emergency triage for high-risk healthcare services, the organization still recorded some challenges. Most of the problems stemmed from the lack of enough resources to handle different cases of emergency cases. According to Adibi et al. (2012), the limitation of financial and human resources are some of the main challenges facing the implementation of effective risk management strategies. Cases involving infectious diseases required effective practices that were yet to be fully realized by the hospital. This has further led to a failure in handling high-risk healthcare services. Lack of up to date and substantiated strategies to handle cases such as infectious diseases has been a setback in the organization to manage high-risk healthcare.

Strategies Used to Evaluate, Monitor, and Maintain Compliance within Risk Management

The organization is dedicated to ensuring that it complies with the risk management requirements. It achieves this by carrying out a risk assessment every three months to ensure that they provide risk remedies according to the reported evaluation. The risk assessment also provides an opportunity for organization management to evaluate the best options for improvement. This means that the organization uses its assessment to guarantee continuous adherence to risk management requirements. This has positively aided its dedication to comply with risk management.

The Assessment of Risk management Program

The hospital recognizes healthcare as an evolving sector. They, therefore, acknowledge the need to go along with the new features that are integrated into the healthcare system. These features bring the need for the assessment of risk management. According to Farokhzadian, Nayeri, and Borhani (2015), integrative clinical risk management promotes the levels of quality services among health organizations. The organization has specialized healthcare professionals who evaluate the changing needs of the high-risk services department. This ensures that the hospital implements possible changes that are recommended to mitigate risks. It also has updated guidelines for its professionals to adhere to avoid cases of negligence and preventable duty accidents. The assessment, thus, focuses on the professionals' understanding of their duties as the primary goal. This enables them to avoid legal concerns as a result of failing to manage risks.

Proposed Action to Improve the Risk Management Program

I will suggest integrated management information in the emergency triage department. My focus will be on the need to implement an action that aims at improving the collaboration between various departments of the hospital. Considering that the emergency triage faces a considerable problem in handling critical cases, managing information will be ideal. I believe this an affirmative action because it touches on a significant area within the organization.

Conclusion

Summarily, risk management is an important aspect that should be considered by healthcare providers. This is because it minimizes some typical professional, legal, and ethical issues. There is a need for a healthcare organization to set effective risk management strategies to use in various risk control programs. Establishing active policies and identifying challenges within risk management will aid the goals of the organization. Organizations should also set strategies to maintain risk management programs, assess the risk management regularly, and find alternative actions to bolster their risk management programs.
