Technology has played a fundamental role in assisting patients in feeling closer to healthcare providers. Patients can use digital technology to easily reach physicians or nurses from any location at any time. Resultantly, they can administer care to themselves from remote locations. In this case, the patient's needs can be met since the patients can receive the health information they need to ensure positive health outcomes. Physicians and nurses can be easily notified of the patient's condition. The increased communication between patients and physicians improves their relations, making them feel closer to one another.

Moreover, technology can improve patient satisfaction and, in effect, contribute to increased trust between the patients and practitioners. Solutions such as patient portals contribute to increased convenience for the patients since they can easily access their electronic medical records. Others such as appointment reminders ensure that customers attend their appointments at the required time hence avoiding wastage of the physician's limited time resources. The increased convenience leads to increased patient satisfaction. Consequently, the patients end up feeling closer to the healthcare providers communicating with the patients via the portals.

My experience as a patient can be enhanced through the integration of patient wearables with electronic medical records. An interface of the patient-worn gadgets and electronic medical records represents a significant technology improvement that guarantees a better look at the patient's health. The patient wearable can be designed in a way to hold information contained in the patient's electronic medical record. In such a situation, any physician can access a huge volume of data regarding my medical history when I make a visit. The physician can obtain more accurate diagnoses after examining the extensive data held in my wearable. I can receive proper treatment within a short time. Such technology can significantly enhance my healthcare experience.
