While studying the major sub-systems of criminal justice system, I have come to learn that there is a close relationship between the Biblical principles and criminal justice concepts. According to Dammer & Albanese, (2013), criminal justice system refers to social and legal establishments set for enforcing criminal laws as per the laid down regulations and procedures. Therefore, law enforcement officers should be fair to all citizens while carrying out their duties (Psalm 82:3-4). Further, I have learned that, since the courts are the legal entities through which people seek justice, the administrators of such justice should not discriminate against anyone for any reason and should rule on a fair basis (Psalm 82:3-4). As Gau & Brunson, (2010) states, the American correctional centers should uphold inmates’ rights and their living conditions. Therefore, I have learned that even the wrong doers undergoing the correctional process should not be discriminated upon due to their previous criminal records rather they should be allowed to undergo the correction process while being under the care of a righteous person to act as their mentors (Zehr, 2015)

My personal perception towards the law enforcement, the courts, and the correction systems has completely changed after studying them. The reason for my change of opinion is that, the law enforcement officers, the courts' officials, and the corrections administrators all have set legal guidelines to follow while performing their duties and which if they breach they will be held accountable (Dammer & Albanese, 2013). What touched me most to change my perception is the fact that, the same restrictions governing these sub-systems, are also mentioned in the bible and which were strictly adhered to during that time.

Therefore, it is my believe that my current perceptions in regards to these criminal justice subsystems are based on truth. Besides, it is of paramount that our perception and belief towards something be based on the mere truth. The fact is that in most cases our perception tends to influence our beliefs about a particular thing. Therefore, as Gau & Brunson, (2010) states, basing our perception and belief on truth is crucial since each person does things for different reasons hence, it is important to always look at something from individuals angle.
