Every leader has an opportunity to offer guidance, ensure a good flow of events in an organization, and ensure prosperity. Therefore, I believe that a leader must provide service other than having the mentality of being served (servant leadership.) Also, I think that a leader should demonstrate leadership ethics, upholding of critical core values, and having the ability to delegate with others to conclude.

Key characteristics of a good leader range from integrity, empathy, and effective communication. The core value of integrity ensures the accountability of a leader and their ability to organize and manage resources in an organization (Russel, 2001). Integrity encompasses honesty, reliability, and trustworthiness, which leaders should exhibit. It is critical for a leader to keep their own words and own up their own mistakes and avoid blame games and make excuses. Integrity in leadership fosters improved productivity, deepen trust, and a greater sense of satisfaction. Effective communication ensures that a leader delegates well with those he serves to ensure conflict reduction and good understanding. An effective leader knows when to listen and talk and seek ideas, opinions, and feedback from their followers. Effective communication fosters better understanding and stimulates followers to follow the leader's values and principles.

On the other hand, empathy helps a leader know how other people, especially those he leads, feel during certain circumstances and, therefore, find a way to help them (Russel, 2001). Empathy enables a leader to understand and be aware of the feelings of others. It's a value that can make a big difference in leadership through understanding the needs of followers. A leader should also earn respect from those he serves by offering it first. As a leader, my mission is to develop a strong team that works together to attain prosperity through people's inspiration, appreciation, and respect.

My Clifton Strengths Assessment profile results of my talent skills portray me as a person who is a harmonious team leader, a good listener to other people's opinions, and as a person who appreciates the views of other people, however different they sound. Besides, the analysis shows a person ready to take responsibility for their own choices and actions. Moreover, the research displays me as a dependable person who is willing to build, establish, and upgrade with as time moves. (Gallup, 2017) The assessment profile also portrays me as a person who knows how to deal with my negative emotions and other people's emotions and get to feel how they feel. Also, it portrays me as kind-hearted, a person who gives a listening ear and a conscious timekeeper.

The two behaviors that I would like to strengthen are harmony and responsibility. Making peace with other people is vital for a leader as it ensures understanding and good execution of roles among the group one is leading. On the other hand, taking responsibility means one is willing to take the course of their actions. (Bowers & Lopez, 2010) I will improve the harmony behavior by ensuring discussions with my team, such as giving a listening ear during talks on the opinions of those in a lower position. For responsibility, I plan to ensure that the decisions I make as a leader, whether they bring good results or not, I should account for them. To achieve my mission, I plan to put aside my gains and aim for the group and organizational success.

In conclusion, being a leader refers to offering service, other than being served, listening to opinions, empathizing with followers, taking responsibility for one's actions and decisions, and upholding moral and integral values. No one is born a leader, but rather, we are modeled by what we see, hear, and desire to achieve.
