Vision Statement
My personal vision statement is: “To become a business owner by utilizing resources presented through networking to initiate generational wealth”. This statement has several definitive components. For a start, I intend to create wealth and not amass it by exploiting others or taking advantage of people. Secondly, the vision above is based on the Christian World view principle of creating intergenerational wealth as per Proverbs 13:22: “ A good person leaves an inheritance for their children’s children….. ” (New International Version). It is my intent to create enough sustainable wealth for my future generation (Ok, 2018). This intent will be attained through entrepreneurship and predicated upon the development of sound mutually beneficial business relationships and networks.
Mission Statement
My Purpose in Life
It is my informed belief that God placed me in the world for a definitive purpose. It is only by understanding that purpose and accomplishing it that I will find meaning in life, success and also live a life pleasing to God. After prayer and reflection, I believe my purpose in life is based on Luke 19:13 “Calling ten of his servants, he gave them ten minas, and said to them, ‘Engage in business until I come’.” (English Standard Version). God has placed something in me and it is my purpose to use it in the business world until He calls me home.

What Really Counts
In traditional introductions, people would be asked to give their names and achievement before being allowed to address an important gathering. It is my informed opinion that name and achievement are what matters most in life. Put in philosophical perspective, name and achievement mean achieving much without having my name besmirched. As outlined in Proverbs 22:1 “ A good name is more desirable than great riches; to be esteemed is better than silver or gold .” It is easy to make loads of money when one ignores all scruples. What counts for me is to be able to make great riches, without sacrificing my name in the process.
What I want to Accomplish in Life
My accomplishments begin with developing competence for business which begins with getting academic qualifications for both entrepreneurship and leadership. I would want to understand how to be a good manager, how can set up effective systems and processes (Thorpe, 2016). Conversely, I would also want to be a good leader who can motivate and guide people to exploit the aforementioned systems and processes to attain commercial success. To attain the above, I need both academic qualifications and professional experience. In the process of my academic and professional journey, I would also want to create relationships and make networks (Thorpe, 2016). At every moment, I would be on the lookout to connect with people and organizations who may be beneficial to my future prospects as an entrepreneur. I am intend to live as ethical and blameless a life and business as possible so that the sins of my youth are not visited upon me at my hour of success to my detriment and that of my business (Kaptein, 2017). Finally, I intend to commence a business, based on an innovative idea and concept is bound to keep on excelling into the distant future. As outlined in 1 Chronicles 12:32, I wound want to be like the sons of Issachar who had the understanding of the times. For example, in the 1990s, Jeff Bezos correctly predicted the value of online shopping into the future and invested in it to become the richest person in modern history (Martin, 2017).
What Kind of Leader I Would Want to Be
From the perspective of leadership, I would want to be a coach, not an administrative leader. I would want to train my followers of what they are supposed to achieve then allow room for them to come up with innovative ways to achieve it (Kang, Solomon & Choi, 2015). I would want to have followers who are capable of outshining me with their innovative ideas as we work together to change the world and create wealth. As much as it is practicable, I would want to create a business that is so attractive that my family members would also want to be a part of it. Instead of leaving behind loads of money for my children and their children to squander, I would want to leave a successful business with a powerful brand that they are proud to work for. I believe that it is possible to attain the position stated in Genesis 22:18: “….through your offspring all nations on earth will be blessed ……. ” (New International Version). Such a position can be attained by creating a global conglomerate that focuses not on raking in money but by making a difference in the lives of others.
Values Statement
The first value will be honesty. As Jesus said in the Sermon on the Mount Matthew 5:37: “ But let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No,’ ‘No.’ ” (New King James Version), I would want to be credible and believable in everything I say or do. I also endeavor to be innovative. I believe that there is more than one way to accomplish something and will thus be open-minded and ready to explore multiple approaches (Kang, Solomon & Choi, 2015). The values of resiliency and perseverance will also guide me since nothing good comes easily, hence I will seek to endure and persevere even when all hope seems lost until I eventually triumph.
I aspire to stick to the value of environmentalism. As indicated in Psalm 24:1 “ The earth is the LORD'S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein ” (King James Version), I have a responsibility to protect the environment as God’s steward. In line with this I will observe the value of loyalty. It is impossible to make effective networks and relationships in business or otherwise unless one is loyal to others and deemed to be so hence my intent to always be loyal to those that I relate with. Finally, I will observe the value of consistency. As indicated in James 1:8 “ A double minded man is unstable in all his ways ” hence I always seek to avoid being double-minded by seeking to be consistent in all I do.
