Philip Glass is one of the most talented music writers known through composing of songs. He was born in1937 and grew up in Baltimore. Glass, later on, studied at the University of Chicago. He was interested in the modern music in the case that he distanced himself from the "minimalist" label, which he considered as music with competitive structures (Glass, 1987).

Outstandingly, he is considered one of the most influential music makers of the late 20th century. This statement means that his music is controversially described as minimal music. Philip Glass, later on, moved to Europe where he studied with the legendary pedagogue Nadiar. On the same note, in the records, some the composers such as Aaron Copland, Virgil attended the same school (Glass, 1987). Under the same observation, Philip has written music for experimental theater and mostly known for award-winning composition style. He is respected because of his greatest achievements such as winning a wide, multi-generational audience in the opera house, the concert hall.
