According to the reading on Policies and Issues in Criminology, sex offenders should be registered with the local law enforcement agencies in order to monitor their movement in and out of the community. The reason behind the registration is to avoid some crimes caused by sex offenders when they are back in society (Fletcher, 2015). For instance, the chapter presents Megan’s case, where he was by a sex offender Jesse Timmendequas who moved into the community unannounced. Therefore, registration of sex offenders will help law enforcers monitor the movement of sex offenders in the community.
In relation to Zgoba’s findings, I would not advocate for the abandonment of the sex offenders registration laws following the impact the law had on the community after it was enacted. The law helps the law enforcement officers and the members of the society to be aware of the sex offenders hence making it necessary for any action or even for tracking any crime in the society.

Dr. Nicholas demonstration on the positivist criminology through describing different aspects associated with social, physical and biological traits should not be excised in relation to the case. Dr. Nicholas associates the crime of the attempted murder with the state of abnormality that was controlling the criminal’s behavior. However, the law should be applied since excusing the case would facilitate the occurrence of further crimes (Fletcher, 2015).
Obtained from the racial profiling or the proactive policing by the NYPD, controversial policy keeps streets safe but critic says its harassment. As stated by May Bloomberg, “we must violate rights to keep people from exercising them. In line with the frisk policy, every action that takes place in the society is against the policy. “Police and policing is a business” and they run it like a business. The video on Racial Profiling or “Proactive Policing” suggests that the policy established is to the benefit of the law enforcers but not to the community.
