Immigration of people to the United States has been on a similar magnitude as that in European countries for many decades. People have migrated to these regions from other countries in search of greener pastures. Both in the US and European countries such as England and France, immigration has led to overpopulation. Besides, since most of the immigrants come from developing countries, they have created an increase in the cost of living in these countries. Also, ant-immigrants organizations in both the US and European countries have emerged in protest against immigration. The United States government is committed to solving the immigration problem through the construction of the border wall and revoking the citizenship of illegal immigrants in the country. Contrariwise, the European Union has devised measures including strengthening the neighboring countries economically and politically to reduce immigration (Kendall, 2012) . Besides, there has been an initiative on increasing the countries' border security.

Collective behavior includes events and processes that are usually not in line with the existing social conformity in society. Such actions often are experienced spontaneously. However, these behaviors are neither deviant to the social structures in place. Examples of collective behaviors include a collective activity to improve the environment and activities involving religious groups. Collective behavior in society contributes to social change, which involves changes in the human relationship that may result in alteration of traditional culture and institutions. Collective behavior acts as a catalyst for social change in society. When a group of people transpires to work together to initiate a change, their collective behavior serves as a driving force towards achieving the set goal. Social change resulting from collective behavior has also been attributed to considerable and long-term consequences (Kendall, 2012) . Such changes have been initiated by groups such as fighting for minority rights in society.
