Essentially, I conducted an interview with twelve people from different backgrounds. Out of the total number, 60% of them use probiotics while the other 40% do not. The core reason for the use of probiotics was they act as supplements to the body. Also, for this reason, their effects vary from one individual to another depending on age and gender ( Cook, 2015) . Another reason was that they help achieve a balanced diet and balances intestinal flora. Probiotics can also trigger weight loss and good health.

The main reason why the other 40% does not use probiotics was due to the unstable nature of bacteria. Whereby they keep evolving and mutating hence keep changing their adaptations and become less effective in their body ( Spector, 2015) . Also, probiotics they are believed that some companies that manufactured probiotics were just after profit making. With this, companies do not manufacture genuine products or those helpful for the body.

Notably, 90% of the people I interviewed agreed that if a scientific research disapproved the ineffective of probiotics they would quit from using them. This is because they majorly used them to have added health benefits ( Szajewska, 2015) . And in the case where there were no benefits, they would stop using them. On the other hand, 10% of this of the interviewed population would have a problem quitting probiotics even after a sufficient research. The major reason is that their body had become used to them hence no side effect.

The above data analysis differs with Joel Achenbach’s hypotheses on human character. This is because he states that it is hard for people to reduce reliance on probiotics ( Van Hai, 2015) . Contrary to this, my data shows that most people would have no problem quitting use of probiotics.
