Among the tools (e.g., graphic books, knowledge-based tools, etc.) that the author discussed in the textbook, determine the type of tool that you would use for process improvement framework.
Individual firms continue to have difficulty implementing their process improvement plans and programs, given the complexity and challenges involved. In this regard, I would identify and integrate reliable data collection tools into the process improvement framework with the sole purpose of achieving the already established organizational goals. According to Hoerl and Snee (2012), the tools in question present organizations with the best possible opportunity to collect and analyze quality, useful, and result-oriented data. Typically, improving a given process requires a change-driven firm to follow six steps, including opportunity exploration, front-end innovation, back-end design, operationalization, daily management, and continuous improvement.

Quality and realistic data allow organizations to gather and present information with little to no errors, such as lost values, wrong variables, as well as poorly chosen ranges. For example, when tasked with the responsibility of streamlining the recruitment process in a company, I would use both checksheets and survey to collect accurate and consistent data (Wandersman et al., 2015). The gathered data would play a fundamental role in guiding fact-based decision in addition to resolving any objections at the organizational level. Accordingly, data collection tools remain crucial for process improvement frameworks since they enhance accuracy, reliability, and dependability of each of the variables involved.
Next, determine the type of tool you would use for problem solving framework. Justify your response
I would adopt knowledge-based tools when it comes to problem-solving framework. Problems faced by companies and other organizations tend to remain complicated and multifaceted, given their interconnectivity. The whole process of addressing such a problem requires teamwork, which depends on their knowledge, skills, and experiences (Hoerl & Snee, 2012). For example, telecommunication firms often lose clients due to poor customer service, a problem, which remains connected with meagre pay, use of obsolete technology, and poor management. In this sense, I would use a flowchart to identify and follow each segment, tracing the root causes of the current issue by answering the five whys. Essentially, knowledge-based tools are suitable for problem solving frameworks since they allow responsible stakeholders to determine causal relationships, which is a necessity in finding a lasting solution to a given problem.
SWOT analysis is important in solving problems as it help in identifying the weakness, strengths, threat and opportunities. My strengths in data collections and flow charts makes me confident in solving and analyzing problems will be of great importance to me.My opportunities include data collections tasks and data analysis. With my strengths am capable of delivering quality and realistic data.
