The potential of a team skyrockets when they engage together to discuss and make discussions. Group discussions enable the team to accomplish much by having better ideas by being creative and developing skills to solve problems (Lamm et al., 2012). However, it is often difficult for a group to work together towards the productivity of an organization due to problems encountered, such as arguments and time wastage. Some methods to handle group problems include electing a leader, breaking problems into manageable parts, building on each other ideas, eliminating personality conflicts, and being open to different ideas.

The first method to reduce group problems is selecting a leader to be in charge of the group. A good leader would give other members a clear direction and lead them towards achieving their objectives (Hao & Yazdanifard, 2015). The leaders help in organizing the group on how to carry out activities. He/she would have the role of setting meeting agendas and leading discussions. This would help the group to be more organized and hence developing appropriate decisions towards a problem. Second, the team should break down the problems into manageable portions. Splitting a problem between members would help identify a solution within less time and encourage the team members to consider small fixes other than striving for one. Also, the team should help each other while stuck.

Third, the team members should build on each other's ideas. Every member of the group should contribute to solving a problem. It would help in getting a potential solution to the problem by combining the ideas contributed. The team should consider even the tiniest ideas as it can greatly impact the problem solution. Fourth, the team members should remove their personality conflicts and varying viewpoints. The team members should overcome their challenge and embrace collaboration, which would allow the team to work with ease and openness. It would also help the group to have a better opportunity of hitting their target. Fifth, the team should be open to different problem viewpoints. A team should consider diversity from an individual perspective. When a team considers different viewpoints from individuals, it would be easier to solve problems faster. It also helps in looking at a problem from various angles hence making a sound decision towards a problem. By following the strategies, a team would solve its problems effectively and have an ideal solution.

Conclusively, groups encounter various problems. These problems hinder the development of projects or advancement towards the group objectives. Some methods to resolve problems within a group are electing a leader, breaking problems into manageable parts, building on each other ideas, eliminating personality conflicts, and being open to different ideas. Implementing these solutions would help resolve problems in teams, resulting in the achievement of team goals.
