This paper aims to describe the some of the qualities of professionalism, as observed from the PPE program, and other aspects of the organization in question as observed from the visit.
How Professionalism was demonstrated
The organization staff displayed quite a high-level of professionalism in relation to their confidentiality, attitudes, behavior, leadership skills and work ethics. The staff showed a high level of confidentiality on matters of management. The staff explained in details about some of the operations of the company but carefully made sure not to expose some of the management information such as disciplinary actions or terminations. Other critical company information such as client lists, financial data, and business plans were also never exposed by the staff members during the professional practice experience. This shows the quality of the organization staff in terms of upholding confidentiality. The staff also communicated in a very influential and professional way. They displayed various communication skills such as listening, confidence, open-mindedness and also used nonverbal aspects of communication here and there. They allowed time for questions, listened and explained answers in length using relevant examples. By looking at the employee attitude, one can see the reason behind the great productivity of the company. Every staff member showed a great attitude towards their work which gave a good impression of the company.

The mentoring skills of the staff members greatly influenced my experience during the professional practice experience in the organization. The staff members made the session lively and enjoyable. The staff provided corrective feedback, encouragement and actively found a way to build trust and open doors. This way, the session was made quite interactive, with more questions being asked and more answers flying in from the preceptors. The staff member listened carefully to the students and provided proper illustrations to the issues raised by the students. The preceptors also asked tough questions in order to create more awareness and dig deeper into the issues of concern. The mentorship program by the staff was quite inspiring making every student feels the need to excel and work in similar place as the organization. The overall performance of the organization in terms of mentoring was great. Perhaps one of the things which would have improved my learning during the PPE would be if I was allowed to operate certain processes on the computers.
