Presently, awareness and knowledge of professional values act as the standards for ensuring exceptionally safe ethical care to patients in a community. Professional values provide motivation and guidelines for promoting professional conduct or behavior among nurses in high-quality healthcare service delivery. Nursing professional values help in reinforcing professional performance and identity among nurses in a healthcare institution. According to Poorchangizi et al. (2017), culture, family, religion, environment, and ethnicity influence the professional values of nurses. For instance, religious beliefs encourage nurses to promote the dignity of patients. Professional value and professionalism in nursing practice improves the quality of healthcare services to patients and promote occupational satisfaction. The current migration, globalization, nurse shortage, aging population, and the emergence of new infectious diseases pose ethical challenges in providing high-quality healthcare services to patients. Application of professional values assists in modifying ethical contemplation of nurses in a healthcare institution. I intend to apply professional values in decision-making in addressing ethical issues to promote patients’ outcomes.
Nurses’ awareness of occupational values in diverse clinical environments promote ethical responsibility in promoting safe and high-quality care services to patients. Academic education helps in examining the perspective of nurses on the significance of occupational values in various cultures and clinical environments ( Poorchangizi et al., 2017). The examination of nurses’ perspectives will help in ensuring the appropriate environment for nurses’ activities by promoting effective comprehension of occupational individual’s value systems among healthcare staff.

Nurses acquire or learn professional values by observing the behaviors of other professionals in healthcare institutions indirectly or directly. My professional education assists in achieving professional values and professionalism in nursing practice by examining value clarification issues, value conflicts, and their consequences on ensuring effective patient-nurse relationship. Academic education enables nurses to develop professional values from the influence of experts in the nursing profession ( Poorchangizi et al., 2017). I hold a strong will to adopt moral behaviors that promote professional values in delivering effective and high-quality care services to patients in the community.

Nurses should promote beneficence, justice, autonomy, and non-malfeasance principles in their services to families, individuals, and community members. Sufficient achievement of professional values and professionalism requires effective inter-professional collaboration. Consequently, I will collaborate with professionals from different faculties, such as public safety, education, and environmental health, to support various community services.
Protection and promotion of effective community health require professionals to have sufficient attention to protect vulnerable individuals and community members from health challenges. A collective sense of community health protection and promotion mission requires nurses to effectively consider individual privacy in their service delivery ( Poorchangizi et al., 2017). Subsequently, I will ensure an operative sense of mission to promote the protection of vulnerable individuals and community members in accessing adequate and high-quality healthcare services.
Finally, community members experience disparities based on socioeconomic factors such as gender, age, education, employment, and religion. My academic engagement helps in introducing social justice and equity concepts in health disparities concepts in the community. Academics help in executing patient privacy protection in community health services ( Poorchangizi et al., 2017). I will apply state and federal confidentiality regulations and laws to ensure effective healthcare service delivery to the community members. My academic work in nursing professionalism helps in promoting data integrity and safety in the healthcare institution. I strive to promote effective confidentiality procedures to protect or safeguard confidential data of patients and their family information.
