Quality improvement is crucial in improving performance in every institution. To ensure improvement in the healthcare performance, I propose that the institution digitalize healthcare, transform the delivery of care, and also improve patient experiences in the care facility.
1. Do you believe the proposal would be approved if formally proposed?
A formal approach to analyzing the institutional performance and making ways to improve its performance is practical, and the manager may approve it within the health care organization.
Delegate your assignment to our experts and they will do the rest.
2. What are some strengths and weakness of the proposal?
The proposed quality improvement has its share of strengths and weaknesses. Due to the dynamic digital world, digitalizing healthcare can be of great advantage to both the patients and the caregivers in the institution. Digitalizing healthcare will significantly improve the patients’ experiences in the hospital and also make patients medical data easily accessible (Laurenza, Quintano, Schiavone, & Vrontis, 2018). However, adapting to the new digital era may be challenging to the caregivers, especially when they are not tech-savvy. Transforming the delivery of care will ensure that the patients will receive care by ensuring the system does things right by doing the right thing. This will, therefore, ensure that the institution providing care will improve rather than focusing on the volume of payment (Meyers et al., 2018). However, the institution may lack the resources, time, and energy to approach the transformation of care delivery in the institution effectively.
Improving patient experiences is essential in ensuring better patients outcomes. The care providers in the institution will also benefit from this proposal. Better patient outcomes and satisfied patients will make the nurses satisfied with the work hence reduces their stress levels and their chances of burnout (Graban, 2018). However, ensuring patient satisfaction may not be cost-effective since the institution will need to provide unmet needs, improve access, and also expand service utilization.
In conclusion, ensuring quality improvement in the healthcare institution is crucial for better institution outcomes. Although making changes in the institution may have some challenges, the benefits of making the changes will be promising in improving the general performance of the healthcare institution, thus better healthcare outcomes.
