Citizens count on their country's justice system to solve political, social, and criminal disputes. For decades, justice systems globally have been developed to preserve equal rights among the people and deter social upheaval. The criminal justice system can also be seen as a critical branch of the law enforcement community because much, if not all, of the procedures used with the criminal justice system, are necessities for the compliance of law enforcement and criminal justice penalties (Pettit, 2020). The assertion that there exist racial differences and a degree of disparity in the U.S. criminal justice system is a prevalent problem. There is a considerable critique that the criminal justice system is racially discriminatory. These criticisms make Race significant to the current criminal justice system. Few people on the right are primarily concerned with the word "systemic racism," which means that we have structures and organizations that create racially unequal results, regardless of the motives of the individuals who operate within them. Therefore, different races do not encounter the same opportunities or experiences when they face the Justice system (Pettit, 2020).

Studies show that the prevalent pattern in the U.S. criminal justice system affects a great deal of African Americans, and it may profoundly and dramatically impact the lives (in multiple facets) of current and future generations of African Americans and their position in society (Pettit, 2020). It is only rational to presume here that the existing social phenomenon seems to be unfavorable to African Americans and advantageous to White Americans residing in the United States. Such discrepancies and social justice issues do not seem to be the same in all regions of the United States. There are areas with higher incidence rates of the criminal justice system is racially unequal, and there are areas with less such incidents. The overall result of such racial inequities for African Americans could be quite devastating, as it constrains the life choices and opportunities that groups of people who belong to this racial group have, a situation that White Americans would be less likely to face. The matter of Race is, therefore, a significant factor the criminal justice system should not ignore.
