Reflection 1
The content and assignments we used in learning contributed a vital role in helping meet the course objectives. The content in the form of the text readings contained information on the course and its relationship with the framework for health policy frameworks that was a key area of interest in this course. Furthermore, there were other recommended readings relating to the main topics covered in this course, including the “free-rider syndrome” and the relationship between lobbying and nursing that are listed in the course objectives. The additional readings in this course were essential in guiding leaners to gather detailed information on the topics covered in this course. It was a pathway to better achievement of the learning objectives. It is important to note that all the content used in this course was to the nursing profession. Such is in line with the achievement of the course objective that the content should help improve the nursing practice. Further, the assignments helped in meeting the course objectives. All the assignments were based on content provided in the course; that was to achieve the course objectives. As a result, the assignments were useful as a basis of an assessment that the course objectives were met.
Reflection 2
There are diverse actual or potential applications of the course week’s course concepts. One of the concepts is “free-rider syndrome.” The concept is applicable to understanding the economics of the field of nursing, where the people who benefit from the nursing services do not pay for them. For instance, such could be an issue in real life in developing countries where the impoverished groups in the society might not have the resources required to pay for the services provided by the nursing professionals. In addition, the concept can be applied in real life in developing strategies that should be used to fund the provision of nursing and other health services to the less privileged in the global society. Another concept covered in Week 6 that can be actually applied is lobbying. Lobbying can be applied in nursing, where the lobbyists air the voices of their followers. Nurses who practice lobbying are in a better position to represent, as well as advocate for the interests of their patients. As such, lobbying can be applied to ensuring a better understanding of the rights of the patients in the nursing profession. Another concept is nurse policy leaders that are practically applied in the modern nursing field. Nurse policy leaders play a vital in driving the formulation and implementation of policies to govern the nursing profession.

Reflection 3
Although the course week had many successes, there were challenges too. One of the achievements of the week was that I covered all the recommended readings. As a result, I gained many skills and knowledge that will be critical in enabling me to succeed in my future nursing profession. The skills and experience will also be vital in ensuring that I provide the best care to patients. Learning about lobbying was another success during the week. It has been a big question for me in this field. The course content gave clear and understandable information on lobbying and its application in nursing. I was delighted that I would like to gain some legal knowledge on how, as a nurse, I can lobby for the rights of the patients.
Furthermore, I read the week’s course content and accomplished the assignments in a more positive way, which is a feeling I have not had for the past weeks. Ultimately, I achieved the course of meeting all the course objectives for the week. However, I experienced the challenge of understanding some of the terms in the course content that are rare in the nursing field. The terms include lobbying, politics, policymaking, and policy leadership. However, I read the content and developed a relationship between the terms and nursing to understand them.
