The notion of race is a disquieting reality that introduces a schism between religious people and faiths all across the globe. Reed-Bouley (2015) in his article ‘Challenging Racism and White Privilege in Undergraduate Theology Contexts: Teaching and Learning Strategies for Maximizing the Promise of Community Service-Learning’ elaborates that race problems are common all over the world and thus making it difficult to teach and support religious movements. The author tries to look into ways through which race-related impacts on religious issues can be minimized. Racism is still a contentious issue that is impeding many developments across the world. For instance, it hinders the spread of religious messages to people in need of them. Consequently, the author asserts that it is important to resolve race-related issues to grow religion. The article clearly reveals that anything that counters religious growth is a big impediment that ought to be resolved first. According to him, it is important to apply strategies such as community-based projects to help stop racism in religious contexts. The use of community-based approaches to religious activities and practice makes it possible for everyone to feel part of their religion.

People should work together in learning and spreading religious messages as Reed-Bouley (2015) discusses in his article. Moreover, the article emphasizes how religious lessons can be associated with community-based functions. The members of the community can be included in the learning process, understanding and teaching religious lessons. Through this, the white dominance in religious spheres can be greatly reduced. The trend in the religious domain is hurting in that there are races that feel they are left out while others take central roles in growing religion. The result is quite devastating as some races quit religious orientations, thus making it hard to spread religious messages.

According to the author, it is important to consider the most appropriate and effective religious strategies to ensure that all people benefit and view religion as meaningful. For example, a religion that makes other people feel out of place is not a good religion. Instead, religious activities should be made highly inclusive to make all people happy and satisfied. When religious activities are carried out by all members of a community, a positive meaning, and significance is derived among the people. Contrary to this, the minority will always feel left out by a religion that only gives priority and more focus on a part of a society.

The author of the article admits that there exist bitter relations between the different races around the world and thus the need to harmonize them. Through this, the choice of a community-based approach to religion to help bring together the different races is very effective. Moreover, this step would give all the different races the opportunity to take part in the transaction of religious activities. Additionally, it makes it possible for the minority to have their contributions and influence felt in religious contexts. The development erases the notion that the majority would always have their say and the minority their fate. Furthermore, this step would make the society highly cohesive and objective in their religious activities and also in their social affairs.

Similarly, Huamei (2011) is critical in advocating for the participation of all persons in and out China to spread religious messages to all people. The author perceives that the immigrants, the Chinese nationals, the Canadians, and any other person can access religious messages irrespective of their differences. The situation of not harmonizing religion is critical in the society today. The interpretation given to any step by overseas Chinese and non-Chinese individuals to convert and evangelize can be seen as a demonstration of patriotism and love for others regardless of the evident differences.

Therefore, this article admits that the race problem is an international problem. There are racial connotations through either word or actions throughout all human interactions. For instance, the whites perceive the blacks as worthless people and the blacks see the whites as highly insensitive and oppressive. Consequently, the racial problem is affecting human progress in a negative way and any mitigation that will yield immediate outcomes is laudable. Due to this, this article accepts that a proper and highly inclusive religion can help bring all races together. The author further purports that those steering religious practices ought to be persons of high integrity and persons who respect human life. In a society where the norms are followed, it becomes possible that a highly appropriate and progressive religion is attained.

Consequently, this article argues out that the ability to pass across highly inclusive religious messages shows a person’s love of his or her country, China. By extension, this article calls upon all persons engaged in teaching religious topics to be patriotic to their nations firsthand. Being patriotic makes it possible for them to teach religious messages that bring all people together and not shaming others. The ability to show love and care to others should not be measurable. It should be an obligation to all people teaching in religious contexts to avoid being biased against immigrants and other persons. Everyone belongs to the human family and thus deserve proper and respectful treatment. Through this, it is evident that Huamei (2011) not only lays down the things that ought to be part of a good religion but also the ways to implement them. When all are implemented, an individual and the whole society can realize a highly positive and meaningful existence devoid of any racial biasness.

Medovoi (2012) seems to sum up all the ideas pertaining to race and religion. The end results of any deviation to cherish race rather that religion is seen as a pervasive move. The article calls for a proper understanding of religion to avoid mixing things. For example, race matters should not feature in religious contexts and all people should be accorded respect and dignity they deserve. Through this, the minority groups in society should find good reception in religious environments. According to this article, religion should be the binding force for all the races and not the reason they should fight.

Moreover, Medovoi (2012) discusses religion as an important instrument that can help end the race problem. For instance, he asserts that religion that brings all people together is a good religion. He further states that different races can interact and see each other as human beings worth dignity and fair treatment. However, he is not concealing the fact that there are highly segregating religions with a negative impact on the progress of stopping the race problem. Race is an important factor in determining who people are, what they do, and how they are treated. Consequently, it makes it possible for people to hate each other just because of their appearances. The people can stay together and do things together with a common goal to empower and better their lives. According to this article, religion that conflicts people is worthless and should not be respected.
