The works have been seen to call into explore religion as a way of assessing the beliefs of an individual. Previously, the church and the nation were integrated. The current world has a lot to learn from Paradise Lost by Milton. In work, the author has displayed that God is invisible and is omnipresent unlike the gods and the goddesses. Milton acknowledges that God cannot be considered an individual and he has been inspired by his faith with the knowledge of things that the fallen humans do not know. The current world learns from the work that there is truly an existing God and that there is hell where Satan is the ruler and sits higher than other demons. It is learned that being faithful and obedient gives individuals' power to acknowledge the power of God in religion and that throne is not a race for power but to serve the people. All the aspects used in the narrative are supposed to be understood as a metaphor and a device used to place the divine in the human terms.
