American Organization for Nursing Leadership (AONL) 

The American Organization for Nursing Leaders is the umbrella body that represent the interest of the Nurse leaders in the State. Since its inception the organization have played a crucial role in advancing the interests of Nurse LEADERS in the larger framework of nursing care. Currently, it represents more than 10,000 nurse leaders across America in the overall role that they play in the health care system. The entity in the recent years have become one of the most formidable voices that fight for the interest of its members in a way that helps to advance the professional practice capacity. Like other similar formations in the American Health Care System, the organization operate as an independent body that represents different advocacy initiatives geared towards ensuring high quality service and leadership in the mainstream American health system. 

Its vision, “ Nursing leadership–one voice advancing health ” aims to unite all the nursing leaders towards a common shared goal of advancing health care in America through undertaking several initiatives that contribute towards professionalizing the practice of nursing leadership ("Mission and Vision | AONL," n.d.).

It adopts a mission, “ To shape health care through innovative and expert nursing leadership” in a way that reflects its commitment towards accomplishing the goal of high-quality care in the mainstream health care system in the country ("Mission and Vision | AONL," n.d.). 

The organization has adopted policy framework that prioritize the advocacy initiative of the American Nursing Leadership framework. Primarily, it is the body acts as the voice of the Nursing Leadership fraternity in that it helps to lobby for the formulation of such policies that reflect the changing dynamics of the Nursing leadership spectrum across various entities (Begley, 2019). As such the it acts as the primary agent to stimulate the creation of the legal framework that guide and govern the sector. In the recent past, the shifting dynamics of nursing practice has put the role of the nurse at the center of the performance index of the institutions that they represent(Ackerman et al., 2019). Through these activities the organization has made very notable contribution in the paradigm of the nursing leadership frameworks in America. While the organization represents the various stakeholders, it also seeks to ensure that its input reflect the needs and changing trends in the organizational needs of the nursing practice. 

The role of nursing practitioners from this point of view, therefore must represent not only their interest but also that of the whole system. This paper seeks to explore different aspects of the organization’s policy framework towards accomplishing its goals and objective. More so, offer the right intervention and policy programs that improve the service delivery spectrum at all the level of nursing leaders. IN ADDITION to its advocacy activities, it also offers training and development programs to forester evidence -based leadership approaches among its members(Begley, 2019). Advocacy is a very important aspect of nursing practice it helps to represent their interests and the welfare of all the stakeholders. The role of nurse leaders involves ensuring that the nurses achieve their goals and objecti9ve with maximum efficiency. 

Organizational Policy Advocacy 

AONL adopts a very complex system of organization that ensures that it not only advocate for the interest of the large hospitals but also for all other entities within its membership. The American lobby system requires that the organization carefully plan and involve multiple stakeholders in their efforts to ensure that they are successful. Therefore, partnerships and mutual collaborations are important element of how the AONL organizes itself towards creating its policy goals and objectives. A careful review of the its organization framework indicates that the entity is designed to ensure that it follows a priority-based framework. As such each of the policy initiatives that the company adopts must undergo a careful review to determine if it represent the interests of all the members without revealing aspects of bi-partisan, This methodical approach has significantly boosted the organization success matrix because each of the policy initiatives is carefully reviewed through various steps before it is eventually adopted for advocacy. The entities overall framework has set very clear goals and objectives that each member must constantly review before making any submissions or requests. While the organization is an advocacy groups, it strictly operates within the confine’s pf the law so nay of the members who is guilty of some violations must take full responsibility for their actions(Begley & Zimmermann, 2019). However, this does not mean that the organization abandons its members rather it offers legal advice and guidance of how t approach such matters. The organization policy framework organization is very complex system that involves the participation of all its members before unilateral decisions are made on behalf of the organization. It does not also entertains malpractice and self-interests by members but rather its advocacy activities revolves around matter are of genuine concern to its members . 

The umbrella organization until recently received very little attention because in some cases the members believed that their interests were best handled through alternative channels for guaranteed outcomes. However, the adoption of a governance that ensured a clear hierarchy and defined roles and responsibilities by the organization revamped its image and the way its ability to deliver on its commitment and promises to the members(Begley & Zimmermann, 2019). In totality the organizations spectrum of policy advocacy is issue-based and embraces strategic approaches through careful planning and execution of the strategies. Normally, the AONL enlists the support of strategic partner with a shared agenda t help push for its policy initiatives. Using this approach, the organization is guaranteed of multisectoral support that is very fundamental in the mainstream lobby sector. To avoid bi-partisan lobby activities, AONL adopts a strict policy framework that outline the guidelines of the possible areas of collaboration with other bodies that represent the interest of the nurse practices. In essence, the organization does operate in isolation but rather within the broader framework of other bodies committed to representing the welfare of the nurse in the mainstream American Health care system. 

The organization, as aforementioned adopts clear operational principles within the constructs of the law. To this end, its advocacy activities is limited to such matters that affect the nursing leadership in American. In the past there has been rampant abuse of similar organizations where individuals or member entities accused of different forms malpractice use these organization to shield themselves from the due process. The AONL, in the spirit of being a law-abiding entity refrains from engaging in advocacy activities on behalf of organizations or persons accused of certain forms of violations and emphasizes on the need for due process. Albeit, its firms stand on avoiding the participation in such activities the organization does abandon its member rather it provides support services that guide the accused parties on the best strategies to legally deal with such matters, The framework of allowing due process helps it to maintain a reputation not only among its members but also among its strategic partners. Issues if legal matters are handled by the organization’s legal team. 

AONL organizes its lobby and advocacy activities based on the priorities set forth in its strategic plans revised annually. After it receives and accepts a matter of interest, it ensure that it undertakes indepth research to support its claims and interest on the issue. Evidence-based models of advocacy play a fundamental role in ensuring that the organization present firth strong and credible arguments to support its perspectives on certain matter that affect its members, The clarity of its position on these specific have over the years played a fundamental role in the its high levels of success on advocating for issues that affect the nursing leadership scope. Through adopting a priority-based approach in determining its advocacy inititiatives it ensure equitable representation of the interest of all its members. The sense of fair representation of matters have made its organizational paradigm unique and very effective in the manner in which it approaches matter that affect the sector. 

Nursing leadership is a very crucial sector in the modern-day health care system. Thus all the adopted policy advocacy issues and proposal must sufficiently fulfill the threshold set forth by the company towards the engagement in acts lobbying for on specific issues. There fore it is imperative that the frameworks for operations embrace methodical approaches in the way that it performs its duties. The consistency aspect is essential to ensure that there is some form of credibility for the organization among other partners. To this end, AONL maintains a consistent pattern in the manner in which it plans and implements its action plans guided by its governing principles and strategic plans. 

In a nutshell, AONL operate well organized lobby system that captures the input of multiple stakeholders before arriving at a unanimous decision on the which policy advocacy initiatives to support or reject. With such a system, it avoids double standards and misrepresentation of the interests of its members. The result of this approach is an effective and highly reliable system for lobbying on the issues that affect Nursing Leaders in American system. The organization ensures that it operates with a singular voice to ensure that its advocacy activities promotes the value of nursing leadership and the role it plays in the continuum of high-quality service delivery 

Current Policy Initiative Supported by the Organization: Title VIII Reauthorization – 4 pages 

AONL strongly supports the Nursing Leadership development program that provided for in Title VII of the Public Health Service Act) that establishes various Skill Development programs for nurses Under the policy initiative, the organization seeks for authorization of the current Title VII Nursing Workforce program that continue to operate without the due authority provided for in the law. The central argument for this policy is that through the formulation of the Title VII Workforce Reauthorization Act, there would be substantial increase in the number of nursing practitioner that bridges the deficit that currently exists in the American society today. The Title VII Reauthorization Policy framework helps to increase the capacity of the Nursing Practitioners in the American society in a way that helps to increase the number of nurses in the American society. To this end, the adoption of the policy Initiative proposed AONL would play a very important role towards ensuring increased access to quality nursing care to more Americans. Without the existing limitations. The policy initiative will help avail funding for institutions offering the training programs without the risk of losing the funds.

Title VII seeks, “to build the capacity of nursing services care providers across the different levels by offering custom tailored Nursing Skills Development Programs to enhance their ability provide quality health care services.”

Appending their signatures on the policy proposal document available at the website on the AONL – Showing support through appending their signatures will help to show the support to the policy and when the proposal is presented to the Congress Representatives the organization will receive the necessary audience and attention because of the support by RN , who are the first tier beneficiaries of the policy initiative 

Contacting their Representative and urging them to show to the policy initiative- The power to adopt and formulate the law rest on the Congress. By contacting the local representative ensures that when the proposal is presented at Congress it will receive the necessary support required to make it law. This is by far the most important form of support because the power rests with Congress to adopt Title VII Authorization Act.
