It is interesting to see the new "normal" perspective sexuality is being given. Initially, same-sex relations between ladies was termed ‘lesbianism,' but of the recent late this phenomenon has evolved to be referred to as "lesbian or bisexual chic." This is due to the casual nature the act has taken, such as occasional ‘one-time' kisses or interactions in nightclubs or social functions. Due to this nature, such females would be considered experimental heterosexuals; hence the casual nature in which lesbianism is handled. Social classes play a significant role in commodifying sexuality, through their intersection with sexuality to create images and stereotypes of various strata of communities. Take for instance social institutions like same-sex boarding schools, or even the exotic clubs. In the case of women, these two institutions are premised on the assumption that women's sexuality can and should be commodified for the consumption of men. Women are taught to be heterosexual and present themselves as feminine to both the society and men.

Another aspect of sexuality is the exploration of sexuality. Sex workers for one have felt constrained by laws that prohibit their exploration and sexual presentation in that manner. We have seen female sex workers forming organizations that advocate for their rights to engage in sex work. These organizations and women hold that prostitution is a freely chosen form of expression and that women should be allowed to explore their sexuality in that manner. One important observation is that sexual conduct is learned through "social flow." When children are young, they learn by going along and drifting into the beliefs set by the society. This is important because many people hold that sexuality and sexual orientations are ‘predestined' aspects of life, that one is either male or female and act according to the set gender expectations, by default of them possessing the genitalia of a given gender. However, sexuality is formed as a result of either exploration or going with the societal flow.
