The uncontrolled rise in population has resulted in increased pressure on scarce economic resources. Scramble for scarce resources has resulted in inequality in income distribution, nepotism in the appointment of jobs, increased unemployment rates, racism, and criminal activities (Moosavi, 2019). Some people engage in criminal activities to get resources to satisfy their basic needs (Moosavi, 2019). In contrast, others perform social crimes to improve their earnings or after being brainwashed with terror groups. Rehabilitation has proved to be the most correctional ideology that offenders receive to transform their characters and code of conduct (Schmalleger & Smykla, 2020). People should have an accepted code of conduct by holding a duty of care anybody who might need assistance. Although many correctional ideologies are implemented today, rehabilitation is the appropriate correctional ideology that transforms the mental conduct of an individual and provides remedies for change.
Correctional ideologies are implemented to transform the ways the offender perceives the world. Rehabilitation involves the orientation and appropriate application of rehabilitation methods and procedures to restore the accepted code of conduct in an individual (Schmalleger & Smykla, 2020). Assessing the level of the offence helps the psychologist to design the appropriate measures that will change the character of the offender.

Currently, the government and non-profit organizations have set up rehabilitation centres where law offenders are assessed and trained on how to transform their code of conduct to suit society (Tawakoli, 2019). All educational institutions have developed guidance and counselling departments that educate students on various measures to manage social problems. Rehabilitation processes and assessment make and individual realize and feel remorse for offending.
In summary, although many correctional ideologies make a person transform, rehabilitation involves processes and assessment tests that involve the brain and psychological processes.
