Simon Sinek, in his inspiration to leaders, uses a simple model labeled “The Golden Circle,” whereby he describes the decision-making process. In his inspiration, Sinek uses examples of exceptional leaders in American history, to pass the idea of action as motivated by great leaders. He describes how the Wright brothers performed exemplarily in a world of numerous other groups of the same goal. Again, he uses Martin Luther King and requests the audience to note that in his time, there were numerous liberalists, authors, and inspirational people. Still, he merged exceptional of them all (Sinek, 00:00 to 00: 05). To the most significant extent, Sinek uses Apple Inc. to base his idea of the “Golden Circle.” In this circle, there are two circles placed inside a bigger circle whereby the innermost circle contains a description, “Why” the second circle contains a description, “How,” and the largest circle has a description, “What.” In his argument, Sinek describes Apple as making decisions from the inner circle towards the largest circle. Great leaders around the world have used this communication technique. I chose this video because it relates directly to leaders.
This topic is highly useful for managers in both large and small businesses. In ensuring that people perform exemplarily, managers must use this communication model to pass information. First, in hiring employees, managers must adopt the question of “why” it is necessary to hire these employees and then the subsequent questions of how and what will follow. Again, in making products or availing services to customers, the same communication model must be adopted to come up with quality products and ensure sustainability.

In conclusion, Sinek provides an exemplary inspiration not only to leaders but also to me and everyone else viewing this video. He urges leaders to sell the concept of why they do things the way they do, and by selling this idea, they will always reap the outcome of “How” and “What” they do. This video proved helpful to me, and I recommend all leaders to watch it.
