Typically, any law that disturbs order is considered evil, but the magnitude of indecency significantly varies depending on the deed. It follows that criminal actions causing death are the most severe and thus they deserve a measurable punishment which would be execution, a penalty that has stirred heated debates over the years. Personally, I do not think death should be paid by its equal, human life is a precious gift and preserving it is a role that we as a human should take.

If I were on a jury where I had to decide on the death penalty, I would not be hesitant to pass the death penalty because my morals do not allow me to pass death penalty to people. Despite the magnitude of the offense, death is not the solution. Everybody deserves a second chance in their lives, and that can only happen if the death penalty is abolished. My morals do not allow me to act inhuman towards other people, as human, we should treat people the way we would like to be treated.

Normally, most people believe that evil should be repaid with evil, and thus, if a person killed, then the death penalty should be applied to them as well. People repay evil with evil, this contrast with my morals because I believe in repaying evil with good. For instance, in the case of capital punishment, I believe it is mere brutality with no positive impact on the society at large. In fact, it makes humans more animals than they are. Thus, making them no different from that person who committed the crime of killing.
