Social injustice is a situation in which the rights of individual members of the society are ignored, and unfair treatment is levelled against them. Social injustice usually happens against the law and the moral values of a nation.
The Hispanic population, which forms seventeen percent of the United States population and the nation's largest minority group face a lot of social injustice issues which has hindered their growth and development in comparison to other population groups in the country such as the whites. Social justice issues faced by the Hispanic population include; access to quality education, poverty, access to quality healthcare, and being discriminated against in sectors such as in workplace stations (Thompson, 2016). Research poll from Pew indicates that the Hispanic population are the second most discriminated against group after the African-Americans. A study by Rutgers University shows that twenty-two percent of Hispanic workers experience discrimination in their workplace compared to a meagre six percent of the American White population. It is estimated that Hispanic workers earn fifty-four cents for every dollar earned by a white American. Discrimination in the workplace acts as an impending barrier towards the success of the Hispanic population as leads to adverse effects such as depression, bitterness, low self-esteem and confidence, and eventual withdrawal from work. Resignation from employment as a result of discrimination has plunged the Hispanics into abject poverty hence negatively affecting the quality of life of children and that of parents (Thompson, 2016).

My organization has taken the initiative to spread the word to friends and citizens in the United States through the use of social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter and encouraging and educating individuals to shun away from acts that will escalate social injustices. Use of social media has enabled the organization to reach to the vast American population and promote acts of activism through the posting of articles and videos that address the benefits of living harmoniously with one another by embracing the ethnic diversity of every American Citizen. Though the campaigns have encouraged a majority of Americans to come out and demand equal treatment of individuals in the workplace, a lot of challenges are faced because clear laws and regulations do not exist to implement the suggested cause of actions in case an individual is found guilty of propagating social injustice.
