The aspects of my socialization into being a student at Community College include; the creation of order when we students shared norms and values; seeing our identity being tied to our positions in the college, as per the SOC101, MINI-LECTURE 4 . Our roles as students are another aspect of my socialization at the college. Another aspect of my socialization is equalizing all my differences with those of other people in the society.
To effectively perform my role as a student I had to learn rules associated with classroom behavior, the level of studying, spending leisure time, organizing myself, respecting the staff and non-teaching staff and engagement in extra-curriculum activities like sports (Friedman, 2013).

My socialization into the student role has enabled me to understand myself further by identifying what I am required to achieve, therefore gaining role-taking skills. I also learned to avoid being self-centred when doing things but to consider the effects of what I do to other people based on the SOC101, MINI-LECTURE 4 .
Yes. Being a student has affected my status of being a friend. The reason is that I prioritize studies and minimal on friendship. I have also been influenced on my effort to play my roles at home, such as assisting my parents because I normally spend much time while trying to study and achieve my academic-based goals ( Friedman, 2013). I have also been affected as an employee because when having examinations, I would not manage to go for work or play my roles at the workplace as required.
