Leadership character qualities are inborn. It is not easy to be a leader especially if one does not portray certain qualities. Aydin (2020) describes leadership as a process whereby an individual influences group of individuals to achieve a common goal. Dr. King being a phenomenal leader, possessed intelligence, self-confidence and determination as leadership traits that helped him address a need for social justice.
Nonviolent social movement was an effective method in which Dr. King used as a lasting change in the fight for freedom. Emphasis in achieving a society with freedom and peace is not a simple task, rather, it is a course (Oseremen, 2016). Dr. King used strategic and skillful planning in nonviolent movement in order to achieve a lasting change.

A simple nonviolent campaign would go a long way in confronting justice system in the world. Tactics such as strikes, protest, boycotts and sanctions would be some of the effective methods that I would use to confront justice. How I act personally to bring about change becomes transformative and effects of nonviolent movement are greatly felt.
Response to Berenise Hart
Given that America was quite evangelical, especially in the past, Dr. King’s strategy of invoking some elements of religion appealed to many people. It seems he had learnt to be eloquent and confident when preaching to people. In this way, he had mastered the art of emotional appeal and delivered the message of hope and encouragement when people badly need it. I also believe that in order to advocate for social justice and change, an individual needs the confidence, courage and determination to get started.
Response to Willma Garcia
Definitely Dr. King was compassionate and had humility. I believe that in order for someone to understand the problems of the people to be led, one needs to have these two qualities. The people who are being led should know that their leader loves and cares for them in order to have trust for their leader. Dr. King, in spite of his prominence, lowered his stature to the level of ordinary people, and that might be the greatest reason he managed to appeal to and attract many followers.
