The current and contemporary world is experiencing quite a considerable number of conventional and marginal fuels in market. One example that fits in this category is hydrogen. Nonetheless, hydrogen is very expensive and it incurs a lot of cost compressing it into actual and usable fuel. Therefore, to counter this, the automobile industry is endorsing the concept of hybrid which easily adjusts between petrol and electricity. A hybrid car is basically a vehicle that incorporates two or more different sources of power to effectively operate and function. In most cases, these types of vehicles are motorized by an amalgamation of two sources of energy- that is, electricity and marginal fuel. In other words, marginal ground propulsion is combined with an on-board rechargeable energy storage system to economize on automobile fuels (Delang & Cheng, 2013).
That said, my chosen top five hybrid cars include; Ford Escape, Toyota Prius, Honda Insight, Toyota Camry, and Honda Civic.
Delegate your assignment to our experts and they will do the rest.
Ford Escape; This vehicle is a four door SUV; its engine constitutes 171 horsepower. The negative and perhaps the disadvantageous part of this car is the fact that the interior space is only restricted to five people and the overall cost which amounts $30,110 is quite high.
Toyota Prius; this is one of the famous and bestselling hybrid car at the moment. It is very economical in terms of fuel. its engine has 134 horsepower and its general body style is four-door hatchback. The cargo space that comes with it puts it in the limelight in terms of design and efficiency. Ultimately its market price is $23,050.00
Honda Insight; the vehicle is very spacious. Essentially it constitutes a 60 by 40 back seat and a well-designed and spacious cargo area. The engine has 98 horsepower. The advantageous part of this car is that it is a 5 door sedan while the problem is on fuel consumption. It has a little bit higher fuel consumption than others.
Toyota Camry ; just like the Toyota Prius, this car is very much spacious and it constitutes a six element speed manual broadcast. The engine has 87 horsepower and the general body style assumes the feature of Honda Civic that is Four Door Sedan. The disadvantageous part of this car is that it has limited cargo area which is not enough to accommodate all shopping and perhaps camping materials and it is very problematic and hard for it to drive on steep places, since the horsepower is too low. Its market price is $26,675.00
Honda Civic ; the engine horsepower of this vehicle is one hundred and ten, (110), it is small in size and it is very economical when it comes to fuel consumption. the general body design is basically four door sedan. the disadvantageous part of it is that the cargo area is very limited. Furthermore, one cannot fold down the rear seats.
Best family car
Considering the aforementioned features and elements, the Honda Insight will perfectly suit someone with a family. This is based on the fact that it is well designed and spacious enough for my kids. A vehicle that has plenty of room enhances good air circulation and important of all is that it is very comfortable. Additionally, the Honda insight has spacious cargo area, this means that there are very less or no disturbances when shopping. More on this is that one can carry plenty of materials when attending events and holidays such as camping and much more. The horsepower also has less horsepower which is a confirmation of spending less on fuel, this helps in saving extra cash which could be used on other things. Ultimately it is a five door sedan and therefore one would board from whatever side they want, its market price is only $18,000 which makes it quite affordable ( Delang, et al., 2013) .
Impact of Hybrid cars on the U.S economy
No single nation would want its economy to decline or assume a static nature, and this is the same case with the U.S. However, with the invention and increased use of hybrid cars, the economy is likely to be jeopardized. Simply, the fuel economic aspect of Hybrid cars implies that less money will be injected in the economy. In other words, the prices of fuel may decrease due to the less demand of fuel that is accompanied by Hybrid cars. In a broader perspective, this means that there is a likelihood of an increase in tax to the general public in order to counter and provide a covering to the fuel gap. This would only hurt the normal and ordinary American citizen. Simply, this brings unsustainable development because one party benefits at the expense of the other (Garden, Models & Cars, 2018).
Impact on oil producing countries
The question on relations of the U.S and oil producing companies narrows down from the question of the U.S economy. While there would be less money injected in the U.S economy, there would also be less and negative political relations of the U.S. and oil producing countries. Basically, production of Hybrid cars imposes a notion or rather a message to the oil producing companies that the U.S. can sustain its economy and hence do not want to engage with oil trading blocs. Such an instance would only lead to reiteration of the oil producing countries by closing other trading activities with the U.S. This means that the U.S will not be in a position of supplying their products to these countries. After all, it is a win win situation. No one would consent the advancement and progress of others at their expense. This basically tells us that the U.S would be terminated from the trading process by oil producing companies ( Clean Fleet Report 2014) .
Impact on global politics
Generally, world politics is established along trading lines and opportunities, which may be perfectly described as interdependence among nations. The U.S is the world superpower and that translates to more political coalitions with quite a considerable number of countries. Nonetheless, below this coalition, there are other alliances between economies based on their trading potentials. A good example may be derived from the case of active trades between African countries and the Middle East where Africa obtains petroleum products and in return offers agricultural products (Klyukin & Thieu, 2012). The U.S, the European block, and some parts of Asia especially Japan, invest a lot of money in manufacturing Hybrid cars. This is a clear indication that they would be the chief producers of the Hybrid cars. Africa, which depends heavily on petroleum fuels, would shift their preferences to the Hybrids simply because of the high economic benefits that accompany them (Fricke & Frost, 2012). Hence, they would move their trade coalitions to the countries that are responsible for manufacturing the hybrid type of vehicles. On the other hand, the OPEC countries would only succumb with copious fuel reserves due to a drastic decrease in the consumers of their products. Hence, enmity and antagonisms would ensue resulting to fragmentation of surviving political coalitions as well as the formulation of new and fresh political alliances that may heighten to opposing blocks.
