Team building exercises are useful in helping people learn how to communicate effectively, work together, think creatively, and listen carefully. They also help people get to know each other, have fun, and build trust (Mulvahill, 2019). My agency is concerned with child care services, and as such, team members need to develop skills that will help them work as a team to deliver the best services.
My dream exercise is a game that compels team members to work as a group to achieve a certain feat. It requires good communication skills, teamwork, understanding, and the creation of a conducive environment. In this exercise, I will divide team members into two groups facing a chalkboard. I will then write a word on the board and prompt a member from each team to guess the word. These two members from each team will have their backs against the chalkboard. The other team members would try to give their members a clue using gestures, antonyms, and synonyms. The first team member to guess the word right gives his team a point. Another round would start after the solution is found. This means that another set of team members would move to the seats and try to answer another word that I will write on the board. In the final analysis, the team with the most points will win the challenge. The materials needed for this exercise would include chalks, a chalkboard, and enough seats.
Delegate your assignment to our experts and they will do the rest.
The objective of this activity is to impart team members with the ability to communicate effectively with team members to achieve tangible results. It also helps them to learn the art of active listening and the ability to think creatively. Ultimately it also gives team members the chance to know each other by having fun.
