Joint decision making in healthcare organizations or any firm contributes to compliance and quality provision of services. Since technological advancements are challenging, the inclusion of every department that deals with information technology, billing, and marketing in the healthcare center is vital for progressive growth and quality services to patients and other stakeholders. The Decision-making process in regards to technological information mainly requires the input of the Health Information Director and Information Department for a compliant health care system. 

Stakeholders 

Clinicians are the first stakeholders in the technology decision process since they provide their inputs by selecting the most suitable electronic heath records, a design a system that can generate workflow and sign off process and live support for the process. The front office staff are also vital due to their roles in the inclusion of demographics, billing processes, and the contact of all patients that will use a technological system such as Electronic Health Records (Lambooij & Hummel, 2013). The billing team is also vital since they identify the speeds, accuracy, and financial aspect part of the implementation of a technological system. The administration as a stakeholder is also vital since, they will gauge the financial implication and available funds for implementation of the technological system. The marketing team is also a vital stakeholder. Some technological system in healthcare such as Electronic Health Record contains as automatic scheduling, online patient portals that are beneficial towards communication (Lambooij & Hummel, 2013). Since markets value communication as a tool for attracting consumers, the system will form a perfect platform for marketing and revenues to the health organization.

Health Information Management Director 

Health Information Management Director is a vital personnel in healthcare regarding the decision making on technology to apply in a firm. She or he ascertains the accreditation and licensure of the system the firm intends to introduce. Also, he or she takes care of the documentation and analysis of the retention that will arise from the introduction of the technological system. In the capstone video, it is clear that HIM director, assist in the realization of compliance with the technological system introduced through analyzing its effects on the workflow, financial implication, and identification of audit trails and accounts expected in the process of decision making on perfect technology to apply in a firm (Capstone video, 2020). Health Information Management Director is an important individual in the healthcare system more so in the technology decision-making process. 

Strategic Plan 

The inclusion of physician advocate, HIM director, billing advocate, administration process, information system department, marketing advocate, and the c-level sponsor is the first step. It entails stakeholders required in the proper implementation of the system, such as EHR. Identification of the features of the technological system is another vital step (Lorenzo et al., 2009). The inclusion of stakeholders in this process is beneficial. Budgeting on the cost of the system, such as the software applied, choice of platform, and the security audit costs, is essential. Shortlisting vendors who match the criteria and the required specifications of the technology is the other procedures that must take place for the realization of a compliant technological system. Identification of next HER through a request for proposals is a necessary procedure (Siwicki, 2019). The procedures for the decision making mentioned on the type of technology applied in a healthcare system reflects on the need for quality and compliant technological systems. 

Technological decision making, therefore, requires clinicians, front office, and billing team. Also, administration and marketing form part of the stakeholders in the technical decision-making process (Lambooij & Hummel, 2013). The HIM director has a mandate of ascertaining accreditation and licensure of the technical system and the general compliance of the system. The procedure or perfect implementation of the technological system is broad but necessary for the realization of quality healthcare provision in a modern healthcare structure. Decision making is, therefore, vital with the inclusion of all stakeholders and the realization of perfect procedures for an essential system such as Electronic Health Record.
