Teenage pregnancy is commonly associated with females who are from the age of 19 years and below. The factors that contribute to adolescent pregnancy vary as young females are still far from adulthood (Leftwich, 2017) . Most countries in the developed world have a high rate of teenage pregnancy. There are a variety of problems that arise in the community as a result of these pregnancies.
A significant problem is the declining level of education and the educated people in the community. Teenage pregnancy has been on the rise. School children and especially adolescents, have a set of goal which they wish to accomplish for a better future. However, when they become pregnant, schooling becomes hard. When the pregnancy reaches a point that it can be seen, the school board will have no choice but to kick them out of school. Teenagers who drop out of school pose a significant problem to the society that lays its expectations on their children. Most of the teenagers will even not be willing to go back to school after bringing up the child (Leftwich, 2017) . The community, in the long run, will have quite several unemployed youths who lack the requirements necessary in securing a job. The results are that poverty in the communities continues to rise as there is no means for earning good money for the uneducated

The society requires their children to acquire education for a better future. This means getting good jobs which will, in return, bring the community out of poverty. The primary purpose of addressing this issue is to eradicate poverty in society by ensuring that teenage pregnancy is discussed to allow teens to understand the importance of education. The community should, therefore, take notice of adolescent pregnancy and device an adolescent pregnancy prevention program, which will lower or end the cases of teenage pregnancy.
The prevention program will play a critical role in preventing teenage pregnancies through education programs and emphasizing safety measures for teens. The devised program will work together with the community in the provision of educational materials, programs, and other services in the community. The program will also provide the basic requirements for the specific market.
In addressing the issue of teenage pregnancy, there exist several challenges. Parental knowhow is a significant concern. The program will ensure that parents understand the importance of the plan for the benefit of their children. Parents will also be required to permit youths who will participate in the program. The other challenge would be the shortage of program participants who are willing to take part in the process. In ensuring enough participants, the program will conduct a questionnaire in the community to get information on how the people understand about prevention programs and the importance of education. Another challenge would be the lack of knowledge transfer from those who have been victims. The program will allow giving space for written reports for those who will not be willing to share their experiences during the sessions. Managing the limited time available for the prevention program can also pose a challenge. However, the program has outlined the courses in an appropriate manner that will not interfere with the daily activities of the community.
Necessary resources that will help in the functioning of the program include access to monetary resources. The program will cater for enough money that will be spent on the purchase of food and other activities. Transport to education centers is also a significant concern. There will be the provision of buses that will offer transportation to and from the villages on a daily basis. The use of incentives such as gift certificates and gift cards that are of nominal value will be allowed in the program. There will be the provision of items that are of nominal value, which will aim at encouraging participation for all groups in the community. Such things will include the provision of pens, pencils, wrist bands, and other items.
The services provided by the program will aim at reaching a target population of 1,000 youths from the age of eleven to nineteen years, but the main focus will be attributed to teenagers who are above fifteen years of age since they are at higher risk of getting pregnant. Program participants will include the staff members who will also be helped by some selected parents who will also address the teenagers. Key stakeholders will consist of teachers, employers, and staff from the ministry of education.
Program activities will include education programs that will teach the teens the importance of achieving their dream in life and becoming great people in society. Once the teens realize the importance of education, they will be in a position to abstain until they complete their studies. The application of negotiation skills through experimentation programs is also an important activity that will help teenagers understand that practicing in early sex will destroy their ambitions. They will also learn how to negotiate for safer sex and the advantages of using condoms if need be. Oth (Leftwich, 2017) er activities will include watching video clips and games that are culturally sensitive. Brainstorming and skill-building activities will also be of great value in changing the lives of the teens.
The program's short-term outcomes involve the change in skills, attitude, and knowledge. The teenagers at this stage are in a position to understand the consequences of unsafe sex in their lives. The mid-term outcomes involve the change in behavior, and the teens are in a place to make decisions on their own. Finally, in the long term outcomes, the teenagers have entirely changed and can now apply the skills they have learned to teach other teenagers on the risk associated with teenage pregnancy.
To see if our goals and objectives were achieved, various performance measures were applied in evaluating the program. Conducting a participant entry and exit survey is essential in this program. Teenagers will fill a set of questions on attitudes and behaviors, their relations with other students at school as well as their influence on decision making. The other method to be used in the evaluation is the program attendance, reach, and dosage that aims at answering questions on the number of teens that were engaged and to what extent they had the chance to receive the intended program dosage and attendance. The gathered information creates an even stronger foundation for future program improvement efforts.
The program was a success to everyone and more so to the teenagers who gathered a lot of information that will be beneficial in their lives. The creation of awareness on the importance of education in eradicating poverty by raising the educations standards was of great value to society. The program benefited from reaching out to teenagers who will, in return, pass their knowledge to other students who are in the same problems. The program will be of great help in assisting the social worker in helping improve the lives of many teenagers in the community through the application of the program's activities. The program's overall goals are to raise the levels of education in the community by ensuring minimal cases of teenage pregnancy, which will, in the long run, lower the number of school dropouts.
