Culture Peer Discussion Responses

The need to create a diverse healthcare system demands that advanced practice nurses are culturally competent and sensitive to enhance care delivery that is corresponding to all patients' needs despite their background ( Mannion & Davies, 2016). As stated in the post, nurses are in a better position and can interact resourcefully with a patient if they can understand their cultural needs that affect their perception of healthcare consumptions. Take, for instance, the Muslim culture that is the topic of the discussion in the post. If a nurse can understand how the Muslim religion can affect how they perceive healthcare issues such as family planning, this can be important in designing for them a healthcare framework that can address their family needs. Also, a nurse who understands the role of a Muslim lady in the family and understands how they should be submissive to their husbands can easily understand the need to include males in healthcare matters that concern the Muslim family, such as family planning ( Sharma & Conduit, 2016). Therefore, developing cultural competency and skills is becoming a tool for quality care delivery to all people in the healthcare sector.

In the current diverse world, the profitability and the success of an organization depend on its culture that it exhibits to people inside and outside its borders. The best organization, therefore, needs to have a culture that is accommodative to all people despite their background. As stated in the post, Indians love their way of life, and they adore the way they behave and the norms that create their unique identity ( Rider et al., 2018) Therefore, if an organization culture tries to change their ways of life, there could be a conflict, and it means that the Indianmay not find it comfortable to work in such an environment. The world is changing with people coming together, and traveling, and this makes them work in many places,a distance away from their homeland. Therefore, itis essential, as noted from the post, that an organization creates an environment that is conducive for all, as this is the best way to create a diverse workplace that is good for all employees.
