Urban study is an area I have always admired and developed interest in over the years. I have always been fascinated watching the physical world in the urban areas changing constantly. Given that I have lived in the cities for the whole of my life, I have experienced what the cities go through in terms of social, physical, and economic changes. With an ever evolving world, the changes significantly affect the lives of urban residents. Environmental matters such as social and physical sustainability have been a matter of concern and even raised public debate. It is my belief that my passion and urban exposure has given me a head start in enrolling for a course in urban studies at your institution. Given that I also have a bachelor’s degree in geography, I believe that pursuing further education in urban studies will give me more skills to conserve the environment and aid urban planning efforts. During my second year of study, I also undertook a project that focused on urban planning and environmental sustainability.
In line of what I studied in my first degree and subsequent projects I undertook during my studies, I wish to apply for a chance at your institution to advance my professional qualification. I have searched other universities that offer urban studies course but I have settled for your University because the performance and reputation of your institution just amazes me.
