The two softwares that I chose; Apparel Magic and AIMS 360 are powerful softwares that help store owners to monitor various elements of their stock and thus make it easier for them to run their stores. In terms of customer relationship management, the two softwares excel in certain areas while they have flaws in several areas. One of the areas where the two softwares excel in CRM is helping the store owners keep track of their stock in terms of getting to know the patterns of sales, maintaining updated records of stock, helping in calculation of commissions owed to sales agents, helping the owner to maintain an updated inventory among other things that help the owner to run the business seamlessly.
However, the softwares lack features that would help the store owners to monitor what the feedback from customers as it lacks features that allow the store owner to monitor mentions in social media platforms. Lack of such features make the softwares less interactive and less efficient in promoting sales. Being able to monitor what the customers are saying about a product would help the owner to know what the customers are not happy about and such feedback would help improve the product. The owners of the software should therefore strive to ensure that they integrate such a feature as it would help promote sales by helping store owners to improve products as per customer feedbacks. They should also consider integrating a function that helps the store owner to be alerted of trigger events such as when a customer opens an email as this would help them to take advantage of such situations to promote sales. The developers should also integrate a feature that allows the store owners to know the demographics of their customers in terms of age, gender, location among other things as this information would be helpful in informing the store owners where more marketing efforts are needed.
