When a frog at the bottom of the lake releases an air bubble, it transforms in its size and temperature as it rises to the surface. The atmospheric pressure and the water above it exert pressure on the air bubble at the bottom of the lake. The pressure is approximately one atmosphere for every 10 meters of depth. As the bubble rises it obeys Boyle's law (Avison, 2014) . As such, its volume is inversely proportional to the pressure exerted at a constant temperature. The temperature of the air bubble increases. The air bubble increased due to the thermocline of the lake. In the thermocline, a small reduction in-depth results in an increase in temperature. The increase in water temperature directly increases the temperature of the air bubble. Thus, the reduction of exerted pressure and the increase in temperature increases the air bubble volume.
