Based on the pie chart above, it is clear that West Africa had the highest number of participants, 37.21%, while North Africa had the smallest number of participants, 11.61%. Additionally, the East Africa had 16.28% of the total participants with Southern Africa assuming 34.90% of the total participants who participated in the Afrobarometer survey. The pie chart as a data presentation tool is effective to compare data across different levels or groups (Robbins, 2012). Like in the one above, the viewer is able to see which region had the highest number of participants.

The histogram above gives a visual presentation of the distribution of the age of the study participants. The age distributed is skewed to the right indicating that the mean age is smaller than the median and mode age of the participants. The mean age is given as 37.19 years, SD = 14.594. Histograms are powerful data presentation tools as they give the viewer the opportunity to evaluate how particular score of a given data are distributed – and this makes it possible to conclude if the data was distributed symmetrically or asymmetrically (Chambers, 2017; Neuman, 2013). Lastly, they are easy and useful to present continuous and discrete data even if the data is not ordered.
