One of the biggest challenges that healthcare managers experience in healthcare include population health management. With the focus being on large volumes of patients in the specific healthcare centers, a broad range of data will be available which will be tough to organize such that it can be relevant to the organization. That will bring about another challenge that is regulatory pitfalls (Gentry, Eckert, Stawiski, & Zhao, 2014) . Thanks to the wide and identified volume of information taken from an individual, the way that is used could be violations of government regulations and that could the organization out of operations. Without a large robust compliance program, it is very possible to misuse the information and cause harm to the patients.
With population health also comes another challenge that is the balance of cost and quality healthcare. In most instances, quality improvements meant cost increase and vice versa. For instance, providing great collaboration between doctors and sharing the information of the patient will require a system that is very complex and responsive to the needs of these employees. All of these challenges do have implications on the financial management of the organizations (Gentry, Eckert, Stawiski, & Zhao, 2014) . When it comes to designing of information system, the generic systems will have to be constructed as they will be the cheapest. They will also be easy to run and will stick to the regulatory requirements that are set by the government. Although more robust and flexible systems can ensure better coordination between the physicians, it will be expensive to run and maintain. Since the emphasis is on a large number of patients, it will also be risky where regulation is concerned since there is no definite way the information is to be used.
