Comment 1
I think that domestic neglect is one of the pitfalls that is not given much attention in the education system. Teachers and administrators indeed sacrifice time at home in order to get their jobs done on time, therefore having minimal time to attend to domestic work at home. We get emails that encourage us to practice self-care. However, it is ironic considering that teachers are being asked to do extra work. Therefore, we cannot practice self-care with the kind of pressure we get from the superiors. Administrative carelessness is also affecting the educational system, such that conflicts arise during school meetings and even between colleagues. I believe it is the responsibility of a school leader to direct and administer rules that protect the entire school because ethical leadership entails school administrators exercising good conduct through interpersonal relations. According to Proverbs 11, “a leader should be righteous” (Bible 1996, Proverbs 11:19); one that makes decisions that best suit the school and avoids acts of greediness because it is through good leadership that administrators receive blessings.

I agree that there are many pitfalls that teachers and administrators experience and practice in the education system, such as pride, greed, cynicism, sexual immorality, intellectual idleness, over-sensitivity, spiritual laziness, domestic neglect, and organizational carelessness. These issues occur daily during our tasks, and the most prevalent is sexual immorality, and most teachers fear to report such cases; therefore, they continue being the victims. I agree that prolonged positions in the educational system are evident due to the good leadership exercised by administrators. When the head of a school effectively does work according to the policies, I believe that teachers get pleased with their superiors' conduct. Additionally, the latter receive more blessings. The bible tells us that "when it goes well with the righteous, the city rejoices, and when the wicked perish, there is joyful shouting" (Bible 1996, Proverbs 11:10). Therefore, when a leader works according to good ethics and conduct, they receive happiness spiritually as a form of reward.
