This research proposal seeks to systematically determine the challenges faced by intersex individuals as well as the effects of the same on the quality of life led by the same people. Evidence from previous studies suggest that intersex people face challenges in their social lives Other than difficulties in socializing, studies show that intersex individuals face other physiological challenges in cases where corrective procedures done during infancy resulted in adverse outcomes.
For this proposed study, the selection of participants will major on parents of intersex individuals and adult individuals with the intersex condition. Twenty intersex adults and ten parents of intersex children will form the body of participants. Consent will be sought from the individuals with the signing of a consent form. In agreement with the findings of other studies, it is expected that the intersex people face numerous challenges in their daily lives. Moreover, the allocation of gender to intersex infants will form a major point of research. This proposal predicts that provision of adequate information to parents of intersex children can help to protect the rights of their children to enjoy the autonomy of their bodies. The alternate prediction holds provision of adequate information to parents of intersex children cannot help to protect the rights of their children to enjoy the autonomy of their bodies.

Design
Cross-sectional study design will be used since a small sample will be used to represent the entire population. The study will apply interviewer-administered questionnaires with the primary procedure being the interviewing process. Results will be analyzed through descriptive statistics such as mean and mode for each independent variable. Inferential statistics will be carried out through correlation tests.
Discussion
The findings of the research will be reaffirmed and evaluated in light of the initial hypotheses. If the findings align with the prediction, recommendations for provision of adequate information to parents of intersex children can help to protect the rights of their children to enjoy the autonomy of their bodies. Moreover, the relationship of the findings to previous studies will be discussed.
