The topic of evil explores the use of the term evil in relation to morals, the law, political thinking as well as discourse thinking. Evil is viewed as a clear concept that should be forgotten. However, evil has a relationship with moral ideas like wrongdoing and badness. Again, evil is perpetrated under sufficient and proper conditions. The broad concept of evil tends to point out the likely bad state of affairs, bad character, or wrongdoing. Conversely, the narrow concept is interested in the most disgraceful actions, events as well as character.
I have selected human rights, which falls in the category of narrow evil and am passionate about the right to live. According to the provisions of an all-loving and powerful God; therefore, God is the giver of life, and no one is supposed to take away. Augustinian views the almighty, all-good creator and omniscient as the supreme being-God. He argues that it is not possible for a mighty and a creator who is all-knowing to facilitate evil. As such, in his concepts of theodicy, human rights violation is not triggered by God. Taking away life is as a result of people employing the wrong will. Free will is founded based on Platons trying to find a good principle that suits the ability for people to satisfy the desire of others in a good way which he terms an as freedom. Therefore, the pursuit of good and the desire to be free is termed as the ability to be free. Violation of human rights, particularly the right to live is indeed not evil, especially when one takes away their life. With respect to the concept of individual autonomy, one has the right to choose what to do with their lives.
