Additionally, a plethora of technology-driven tool designed to explore and meet his or her needs are available. Dynamism has featured in all humankind’s indulgence, and so has crime. Metaphorically, plumbers could require multiple devices to accomplish a critical water service breakdown. Likewise, crime investigation is assembling the requisite tools to respond to acts of crime promptly and effectively. Consequently, the gun intelligence program comes into play. It is critical that law enforcers collect vital data and acquire the relevant tools for gun intelligence program . For the accomplishment of such a task, collaborative efforts are imminent. Every stakeholder inclusive of the police officer, investigating agencies, responders, the electronic tracking system(eTrace), National Integrated Ballistic Information Network, forensic labs, firearms resource centers are all called to action in the first crime unraveling. This paper will look into an in-depth analysis of crime gun intelligence services, their relevance and impact on crime prevalence.

The 21 st century has witnessed rampant violence incidences across the world. Consequently, American society has not been spared either. The Bureau of Justice assistance vividly describes the role of crime gun intelligence services as inclusive of prompt data collection, data management, and efficiency analysis of evidence more so the shell casings. Importantly, all the aforementioned tasks are vital in fostering apprehension of shooter or disrupt criminal actions in an attempt to lower violence incidences. The crime intelligence is specifically designed to identify criminals who might be armed, seize, and prosecute them. However, it is important to note that the outcome of crime gun intelligence operations have a far-reaching impacts considering it literally unravel the origin of the guns, allocate resource efficiently, collective crime data impeccably for use by the investigative agencies, improve the rates cases undergo closure, ensure the security of the public, and generally reduce crime rate

The National Gun intelligence centre works in collaboration with Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms agencies that are trained on proactive tendencies to provide the National integrated ballistic Information Network with leads that are primarily real-time actions for the core purpose of shooters identification. Hence, the procedural legal practices can follow more leading in prosecutions. It is relevant to mention the vital tools applied in the investigative methods particularly the hotspot policing and the focused deterrence that are interventions that are solely based on evidence. Consequently, gun crime incidences are reduced. Importantly, investigation regarding gun crimes are improved, clearance rate increases, and prosecution is achieved. Through the community engagement, trust bestowed upon the legal and investigative process gains more confidence hence public support. Moreover, The Crime Gun intelligence services call for more collaboration between the relevant agencies: The Alcohol, Tobacco and firearms unit, the investigative police department, the investigative laboratories, parole and probation, police gang units, the U.S Attorney’s Office, the scholars and the community in general 

The powerful gun and the investigative units are core to the operations to combat gun crime. The executive and tactical teams collaboratively engage to ensure an efficient process in tackling gun crime. It is vital that operational policies are laid down to complement strategic priorities and guarantee quality services. The significance of the tactical team is broad and include core task; collecting data, analyzing, delivering shreds of evidence on gun crime from both the local police and the Alcohol, Tobacco and firearms units. Secondly, the technical team investigates the criminal use of weapons. The professional team analyses the National Integrated and Ballistic Information Network as well as guide the vital dissemination of collected data. In collaboration with Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearm units, the technical team traces gun crime scene and importantly the source of the guns. The professional team is charged with identifying illegal firearms trafficking and thus carries out interdiction in collaboration with the Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms Units. Moreover, working with the enforcement units, the task force arrest criminals, more so the armed criminals and lead in the federal prosecution of the offenders. 

The Crime Gun Intelligence Service center are accustomed to providing investigative leverage in partnership with local paroles more so in Global position system investigation to track crime scene proximity in pursuit of parolees and probationers shooting and the illegal firearms used in the exercise. I hold the opinion that the Crime Gun Intelligence services have enormously managed to curb crime primarily on their modus operandi in the pursuit of data collection and the methodology in crime data management. The National Integrated Ballistic Network has come in handy in this respect. Importantly, the eTrace and NIBIN, involved in data collection provide the essential data for analysis by the crime gun intelligence analysis.

In conclusion, the dynamic society poses a severe criminal threat mainly due to the available technology tool to accomplish the end. The communication pathways courtesy of the revolution in technology-driven communication has buoyed the prevalence of crime. The status quo merits a collaborative and extensive approach in pursuit of public safety. Authorities and government agencies, to this end, has essential developed tools to achieve this end. From community engagement to the investigative follow-up, agencies have made tremendous progress towards a haven of safety to vulnerable members of the community.
