The European Enlightenment was a philosophical program that controlled the world of ideas in Europe in the 17th and 18th century. It’s also referred to as the philosophy century in which views regarding God, reason, nature, and humankind were created into a worldview that grew wild approval in the west and that prompted ground-breaking developments in art, philosophy, and politics, this is discussed in the following essay. 

The European enlightenment was led and closely related with scientific resolution. It included a series of ideas based on reason as the main foundation of authority and legality and it led to advanced concepts like progress, freedom, separation of church and state. It was formed to serve as a programme of improvement in which significant intellectuals motivated by mutual faith in the opportunity of a better world.

The rational process emphasized on scientific methods, a secularization of learning, religious tolerance, and universal education. The ideals that were used in the movement were a reason, skepticism rather than being satisfied with visionless faith enlightenment philosophers wanted proof. Others ideals used were empirical versus rationalism. 

The spread of European enlightenment ideals influenced the politics and social norms. The new ideas influenced political approaches; John Locke protected the displacement of a ruler who would not defend the lives of individuals. They specified that the public should also be governed by the universal will of the public. Additionally, they also influence that authority should not be concerted in the hands of any person and endorsed splitting power among court branches of the administration. 

In conclusion, the European enlightenment influenced the growth politically and socially. People were able to reason things out and know the difference between right and wrong. Politically, it enabled the government to grow and to be able to make changes that are benefiting the nation and its citizen till today.
