Delivering quality and affordable healthcare has been at the center of the healthcare system's objective in the United States. The United States citizens need to have access to have high-quality care to enjoy optimal health. The United States has a health care system that is strong and effectively coordinated. The healthcare delivery system in the United States involves stakeholders such as the private sector, among others (Akinci & Patel, 2014) . The stakeholders work in collaboration to reduce the burden of injury and general illness to improve the population's health outcomes. 

Healthcare insurance has been critical in facilitating access and affordability of healthcare. The government and the private sector provide health insurance programs in the United States. Private health insurance programs cover more than half of the Americans. The healthcare delivery system in the United States has a well-established structure and history. The delivery system's significant progress has been facilitated by the wide range of reforms that have been implemented in the sector since the 1990s. The use of technology in the healthcare delivery system has encouraged communication and prevention of diseases through research. Healthy people are happy people “A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a cruised spirit dries up the bones” (Proverbs 17:22). The improvement of life expectancy in the United States is attributed to the efficient healthcare system (Denton, 2013) . Healthcare comprises of one of the most potent health determinants.

The healthcare system in the United States, just like in many other countries, is not without challenges. Technology poses one of the challenges in the healthcare sector. Technologies are prone to failure and intrusion by hackers. Hacking healthcare technologies compromise the patient's right to privacy (Stone et al., 2012) . The healthcare system in the United States has been criticized for being expensive. Many people spend significantly high costs accessing treatment and general healthcare. There has been an increase in the number of people filing bankruptcy in the United States over the last few years. The bankruptcy is triggered by high costs, medication, and diagnosis.
