The Golden Age of Television is the period from the late 1940s to early 1960s in the United States in which television programs were produced and broadcast live. The era was characterized by the anthology drama in which there was a weekly turnover of quality public affair programs. A new play was broadcasted each week, with a new set of actors and a new writer. Shows such as Westinghouse Studio One and Playhouse 90 peaked in popularity during this era. Unprecedented commercialization, scandals in quiz shows, changes in production values, and shifting audiences changed witnessed today changed the television era (Straubhaar et al, 2013). Despite the shift from the 1950s Golden Age, today’s television elicits the notions of Golden Age characterized by the cinematic and serialized television. HBO took the center stage in 2000s golden age, which has since been dominated by stellar shows from AMC, Marvels etc.

The access of information through the advent of search engines provides unbound possibilities for learning and exchange of knowledge. Students, researchers, and educators use the information on the internet to build on their fields, improve performance and for career progression. The ease of access to information has made it easy to communicate and make transactions on a global scale, as well as stay informed on the trends and occurrences around the world. However, this availability of information can also be detrimental to the internet users. Internet users are susceptible to fake news, inaccurate information and immoral content. The ease of access to information also potentiates the cases of cyberbullying in which the victim’s private information is shared through different online platforms (Straubhaar et al, 2013).

The internet has made E-commerce and online shopping possible and rampant. Buyers can access all products they need from different online stores and make order purchases. Shoppers in the future, as is now the case in some parts of the world, will not have to go to physical stores or markets to get their household or other supplies. Multinational E-commerce companies e.g. Alibaba, Amazon, and eBay have made it possible to buy products from different parts of the world. (Gupta et al, 2013). The companies provide shipping services, and as such, future global shipping experience will just be a click away.
