Governments all over the world run the transportation system, which explains the inefficiencies witnessed. This paper seeks to respond to the impact of government running the transportation system, the influence of air travel prices on customers, and describe the significance of strategic priorities.

501 Question

The response described well the reasons against the government running the transportation system sighting the fact that it would discriminate against other citizens. The answer also captures the limitations for government running the transport system in a manner that leaves the reader convinced. The article connected well in to categorize roads and other public facilities as either falling under the jurisdiction of the Federal government or the municipal entities (Ibrahim & McGoldrick, 2017).  In the same regard, the author introduces an interesting debate on whether the common good of the citizen or the return on investment ought to be the determining factor for government expenditure ( Urry, 2016).  However, the response to advance the debate further that denies the readers a chance to ascertain which of the two sides carries the day. 601 Question

The response begins well by appreciating the author for noting points on the air travel costs and their influence on demand. Prices influence the decision by customers on their flight of choice, and marketers ought to decide with that reality in mind ( Shaw, 2016). The reasons for supporting lower prices come out clearly. Indeed, attaching a monetary value on everything such as early check-in stand in well in a business sense. Decry on the unfairness on the customer’s side also comes out apparently. Many air travel businesses do not compensate customers for flight delays that come with other costs such as nonrefundable reservation ( Nagle & Müller, 2017). The response also captures the extent to which flight cancellation impacts on the customers such as missing essential events that go uncompensated; this is unfair to both customer and to the success of the business because it creates an ill reputation about the flight company. However, the answer fails to acknowledge other offers such as discounts that air travel businesses extend to their customers.

600 Questions

The response captures well the definition for strategic priorities as well as their importance on the organization. Indeed, strategic priorities give a company a competitive advantage over the others. Establishing standards on the balancing of strategic priorities provide a useful guide in determining essential priorities ( Schaltegger, Burritt & Petersen, 2017).  The highlights on the qualities of an excellent strategic databank such as time as well as the accurate input of clients, stakeholders and competitors were also informative to the reader. The text contends that there lacks a defined method of managing sustainability, and points out that only various techniques identified by organizations drive isolated sustainability projects ( Epstein, 2018).  However, the response fails to outline the possible consequences for a company lacking sustainability management programme, and how the same can affect the general business. Information on the implications of having dysfunctional sustainability management would have enlightened the reader and provide a basis for making future decisions.

The government managing the transportation system comes with certain inefficiencies that inconvenience the citizen. Using the common good of the citizen to determine the government’s expenditure also provide the best approach to spending public funds. Prices indeed determine a customer’s decision in the air travel industry, and therefore, marketing decisions that take into account that fact stands valid. Customers also suffer without compensation for inconveniences caused by flight delays or cancellation by the various airlines. Importantly, strategic priorities give the company a competitive advantage. Sustainability management also enables the company to attain the set goals and remain competitive in the dynamic business environment.
