Anti-Semitism refers to the prejudice, hatred, and hostility expressed towards the Jews. As a result, the Jews suffered from mass killing and torture with no apparent or legit reason. The theoretical grounds for this hatred and hostility root from the death of Jesus Christ. Christians link the death of the messiah to the Jews. In this case, all Jews and their subsequent generation suffer the consequences of hatred. The political ground for anti-Semitism is that the Jews are believed to seek the world and political power. It was assumed that they had intentions of dominating the world by promoting capitalism and venturing in banking and finance. Jews are associated with political defeats. For instance, Germany had to send away the Jews after the world wars when they lost the battle. The hostility against the Jews intensified further after the legal emancipation. They sought to reverse the consequences of emancipation, and as such, they are the legal grounds for anti-Semitism. Notably, ant-Semitism was accompanied by some justifications in the form of theological, legal, and political grounds.

Anti-Semitic Canards

Anti-Semitic canards are myths and misconceptions or allegations that defame the Jews as a religious or ethnic group or generally towards Judaism. It resulted in the Jewish conspiracy theories during the middle ages. Anti-Semitic canards intensified, leading to formal expulsions and regular prosecutions of Jews in European countries like Germany, England, Spain, Portugal, and France. Jews were associated with causing the Black Deaths. It took the forms of poisoning wells and ritual consumption of Christians' blood. As a result, all ritual killings were attributed to the Jews.

Martin Luther Solution

Martin Luther King offers several solutions to the prevalent problem facing the Jews. First, he advises that Jewish synagogues and schools should all be burnt and the remnants covered with dirt. He means the total extinction of these structures pertinent to the Jewish cultures. He believes that God will not see Christians as collaborating with the blasphemous. However, Christians tolerated the Jewish due to ignorance. However, he ridicules the blasphemy displayed by the Jews, and that if people are knowledgeable of it, it is wrong to condone with them.

Secondly, Luther also suggested the burning and destruction of Jewish houses. As the synagogues are destroyed, so do the houses. Luther believes that what they undertake in the synagogues could be similar with what they do in their homes. They are accused of lamenting about Christians before God. Therefore, depriving them of shelter will discourage these acts from the Jews

Thirdly, he proposes the confiscation of the Jewish Talmudic writings and prayer books. They are the same books and manuscripts that are alleged to contain idolatry teachings, lies, blasphemy, and cursing. Also, Luther advises the banning of the Jewish rabbis to teach on pain of losing life and limb. They are also accused of holding the poor captive due to their obedience. These acts are against the Law of Moses. The captivity is portrayed as a means of influencing the poor with their evil deeds of blasphemy and cursing.

Lastly, Martin Luther suggested prohibiting usury to Jews. All cash and the treasures of gold and silver should be taken from the Jews for safekeeping. It is because their livelihood is wholesomely dependent on usury, and thus, has stolen and robbed others for all their possessions. Therefore, with the conversion of a Jew, their property should be taken for maintaining the feeble and the old. Notably, evil gains through usury are cursed if not channelled to the good course.

The Holocaust

The holocaust refers to the Second World War genocide mission against the Jews across European countries. It resulted in massive killings of the Jews that dramatically reduced the Jewish population. Regarding the final decision to the Jewish problem, it deliberated on the murder of all Jews across all continents. The Martin Luther solution could also escalate the genocide that was suggested earlier. For instance, the resistance caused during the massive destruction of houses and synagogues could result in bloodshed and death. These acts of anti-Semitism could result in the holocaust.
