Heart Hope Institution is a private health institution focusing on research and treatment of cardiovascular diseases. This paper will introduce the organization, examine its administrative structure, philosophy, and mission and also identify the type of organizational structure presented by the facility. The paper will also discuss the strengths and limitations of the organization, the nursing care delivery system used specific patient outcomes and measures. 

Heat Hope Institute 

Heart Hope Institute is a private hospital that is part of Dr. Dedomenico’s Medical Center. It is a medium sized health institution located in Bellevue, Washington. The hospital offers a range of services in line with research and prevention of cardiovascular diseases. The targeted clientele of the institution is basically patients with cardiovascular diseases. The institution has not yet been accredited although it engages in a number of community commitments to create awareness and educate people about heart diseases.

Mission 

The institution is committed to serve humanity through cardiovascular education and research ( Hope Heart Institute, 2019). The institution is dedicated to treat and prevent blood vessel and heart diseases and improve the lives of people with cardiovascular diseases .

Philosophy 

The institution was solely build to on the basis of providing health research and solutions to patients having cardiovascular diseases ( Hope Heart Institute, 2019). The institution is based on the health needs of the society and has several programs to ensure proper research and treatment of cardiovascular diseases .

Administrative structure 

The institution is governed and controlled by a volunteer Board of Directors approves all major financial commitments and controls the institution’s strategic direction. The type of organizational structure of the organization can termed to be functional since the Board of Directors are responsible for determining how the process and presentations of the institution will be carried out ( Henttonen & Kettunen, 2011). Moreover, the entire staff reports to the heads, board of directors hence functional. 

Strengths of the Institution 

The institution has pioneered extensive research relating to the treatment and control of cardiovascular diseases. The cardiovascular diseases are extensively examined including metabolic disorders like high blood pressure and high cholesterol. Additionally, the institution conducts tests relating to lifestyle, nutrition, and exercise and provides any necessary counseling needed. 

Weaknesses of the institution 

Among the weaknesses experienced in the institution is lack of sufficient funds to conduct further research since it is costly. The institution also runs short of enough physicians to perform emergency operations and most patients have to share the available physicians. 

Care Delivery System of the Institution 

The institution offers an outpatient care system where patients can come for regular check-ups and treatments that do not require admissions. Primary care physicians, charge nurses, and selected cardiologists are delegated to provide regular services like check-ups, treatment, and counseling on various conditions. The institution also offers in-patient services where patients can be treated from the hospital. Dedicated physicians and charge nurses are delegated to provide both acute standard inpatient care and long-term inpatient care. The staff manager of the institution oversees both inpatient and outpatient operations. 

Outcomes and Measurements of the Institution 

A system wide outcome was conducted by collecting and analyzing data in inpatient cardiovascular programs. The outcomes were measured using a continuous quality improvement (CQI) process that will also monitor the outcomes. The institution was able to improve their service delivery from the results obtained. For nurse-sensitive clinical indicator, the National Database of Nursing Quality Indicators (NDNQI) was used to provide quarterly and annual reports on nurse-sensitive clinical indicator ( Gajewski & Dunton, 2012). This database is used to effective monitor nurses in each unit through a central database. 

Conclusion 

Heart Hope Institution is a private health care institution focused on research and treatment of cardiovascular diseases. The institution’s strengths include its lifestyle and high blood pressure tests.
